However, I can't say I am a huge fan of how Jimenez draws Batman. It's too Frank Miller/Jim Lee-esque with the short ears, super square jaw, and bulky physique. Although that might just be editorial mandates. I wish we could go to more of a 70s-90s Batman look with the longer eats, more gothic look, and leaner, Wraith like physique. Never been a fan of making Clark and Bruce look like doppelgangers.

He draws him differently depending on the story (as he does with Supes as well). Not always so bulky:

He does tend to stick with the relatively shorter ears, though...unless he's drawing Burton Batman lol:

I still cannot help but be disappointed that they went with the Kingdom Come logo.

I mean it looks better with the yellow and I'm glad they did not give him a black symbol, but it just doesn't scream Superman to me.

I'm not really up to date on current comics, but I just went through Jimenez Instagram based on this discussion. I really love his Superman art. Very emotive and dynamic and the water style colours are such a great match.

Interesting. It is his Batman work that actually makes me a fan of his. I feel like it is sort of a more modern take on a Breyfogle style. Ear length aside, I wouldn’t see his work and think Miller at all. But that’s just me.

I know the ear length is a big issue. But I’ve never been a fan of the Kelley Jones style even though I understand its utility. The long ears in that style make him look more like a monster and something that would frighten criminals. Whereas someone like Jimenez draws him like a superhero who would protect his city.

Anyway, different strokes for different folks I guess.

They at very least should have tried to stylize the bottom a little so that it resembled an S more while still feeling different and a nod to KC.

It's basically just KC only with yellow instead of black. Weird choice IMO.
