More directly, it's one thing to say you dislike David or have concerns he will be a poor Superman based on previous performances. It's another to claim his performance is bad without seeing it. The Snyder Cult are saying the latter and therefore their opinions are without credibility or validity.
Disagree, 100%...

6 months prior to the announcement of James Gunn being the head of Warner Bros Discovery and announcing a new film, the head of WB we're already planning on rebooting the entire franchise, even Gunn himself stated that the script that he's doing currently was a script that WB had already planned out, he said this before in some of his tweets over on X, which means WB , while they told Henry Cavill to announce his return as Superman, they fully well knew that Henry Cavill would not return as Superman, and then that announcing Henry Cavill as Superman was to only bolster sails for Black Adam, and then a month later, after Cavill announced his return to Superman, had to turn around completely and say that he was no longer going to play the character...

I'm not going to sit here and pretend that those who like the Snyder Universe don't exist, and I most certainly will not sit here and insult, ridicule, or try to humiliate what they liked for Superman and the DCEU, because the heads of WB knew full well that they never wanted Cavill back as Superman, that was Hamada's and then to turn around on Cavill and dump him, and then make James Gunn the director and the sole head of WBD...

yeah, I get their anger, I get their hatred, and if this happened to James Gunn, and James Gunn was ousted by WB for someone else and David Corenswet was treated the same way Cavill was, I'm sure every single one of you here who is reading this post would be just as angry about it as those who support Snyder

The idea that freedom of speech means that both sides have merit or that all opinions are entitled to respect is one of the most ridiculous fallacies of the modern world. Some opinions are without merit.

Freedom of speech does not mean that everyone's opinion must be respected, quite the opposite. It means that just as people get to voice their opinions, others are totally entitled to say that said opinions are moronic and without merit.
I'm not necessarily referring to freedom of speech... i'm saying that there is 100% legitimate reason behind why some people support Snyder so much and hate Gunn so much.

Just in time for the kiss between the rubble of Metropolis!

If you don't care then why did you bother replying to me???
Apparently on some level you do care, so if you don't care, let's just drop the conversation, And let bygones be bygones.
Because you kept responding to me???

But sure, bygones.

I'm not necessarily referring to freedom of speech... i'm saying that there is 100% legitimate reason behind why some people support Snyder so much and hate Gunn so much.
But that legitimate reason has everything to do with preferring a particular filmmaker and not the character who is the subject of the film. If they were honest about that, people would probably be more understanding.

And just so everybody understands, I'm not one of those die hard Snyder supporters, and I'm most certainly not part of that "Snyder cult"... There were things I liked about Snyder's vision come and there were things I utterly hated about it... and I want Gunn's vision to do well, despite my personal distaste for his vision, end the crude comedy he resorts to in his other projects...

James Gunn and WB Discovery have a lot of cleanup to do because they made an entire, gigantic mess when they took over, and the only people they had to blame is themselves... there's a chance that it'll go well, but if they want to gain back some of the fans that they lost when they let Cavill go come and they got to do more in order to show that they care about that side of the fan base

Even though I don't agree with them, they still have the right to feel how they feel...
these individuals feel like there were completely screwed over by James Gunn, and because of that, they are going to dig at every single thing he does concerning this movie... You can like the fact that they do that, you can absolutely hate and despise the fact that they do that, still doesn't change the fact that they feel betrayed, dismissed, and insulted by James Gunn and Warner Bros Discovery...
And you know what, to be completely honest, I feel their pain, I feel their anger, I agree with them 100%. I really do think James Gunn screwed over the vision of Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill, and ever person who was supporting the DCEU in spite of the fact that leaders at WB at the time were treating Superman as if he were a secondary or 3rd character, or a side character, because the way Snyder pictured Superman with Man of Steel, Superman not a side character.
While I understand why people feel this way, I also have to ask, are these feelings based on the facts or based on assumptions? Because Zack was already out the door before Gunn had any serious discussions with WB. Whedon's Justice League was released in 2017 and Gunn wasn't even fired from the MCU until 2018. By the time Gunn directed The Suicide Squad, Snyder was long gone (only came back for his JL director's cut) and many fans were already looking forward to Flashpoint rebooting the franchise. When James came aboard, there wasn't much of Zack's vision left to salvage tbh.

Henry definitely got the shortest end of the stick in this whole mess, and I highly empathize with how he got screwed over. The previous regime didn't utilize him for years and by the time they decided to bring back Cavill for his cameo in Black Adam, James was already writing a Superman movie separate from the DCEU (ala The Batman or J.J. Abram's Superman). It wasn't until later (most likely around the time Black Adam flopped) that WB decided against The Rock running the show and decided to let Gunn do it. Since WB was already bleeding buckets of money, and coming off BA's flop, they couldn't afford to give Henry MOS2 and they left it to Gunn to let Cavill know that he wouldn't be in the DCU. James even had the dignity to tell Henry in person and keep the door open for future collabs.

Cavill and Snyder were screwed over by WB, not Gunn. I can understand the initial backlash when Gunn announced the DCU, but placing the fall of Snyder's DCEU squarely on Gunn's shoulders is pretty extreme.
