You'd think they'd have put a tiny bit of effort on Flash's final season as the swan song of the whole Arrowverse.

But nope, still as unwatchable as the previous season.

I was really checked out before the final season, but yeah... I expected some effort for at least a good finale... it was just... eh. Disappointed for sure.

Nope

This is probably a year 2-3 Superman
Eh. To be fair, I don't know if "earlier years at the Daily Planet" necessarily indicate he's only been Superman for that long. He could've been working at the Daily Starr before. Idk, I think by this point if the idea was Year 2 or 3 James would've said it explicitly already.

I hope it's long enough that he has some history with Lex and has had run ins with some other supervillains.

lol “might”? I swear, the MCU’s got people thinking any old character should be mocap. Let SFX make-up artists get paid, y’all.

In all fairness, it's a matter of comfort too.

I'd rather mo-cap that the poor actor having to endure a daily torture routine for 6 months, if that's the case.

Even this fanwish that should never happen blew up:
Yeah I think people still very much care about Superman. This movie's gonna have a gigantic opening, and if it's good, it's gonna have really good legs. It's being heavily understimated.

DC Twitter is on fire right now. My entire timeline is flooded with Superman. Awesome to see. Gunn may want to rethink SDCC. Having a presence there in even a small capacity will keep this flame afloat. The BO is extremely unpredictable right now, but I feel there's going to be a massive interest with this movie, even from the people on the fence. Gunn has a huge opportunity here.

You know originally The Boys was a DC property ;)

And the Battinson stuff is gettign obnoxious.

Agreed that people still care though. and agree that if it is good it is going to do very well!

Can we fans bully Reeves into putting Pattinson in the DCU. David and Robert would be great together.

When I saw the first picture of Clark Kent, I have to admit, I thought that was literally someone else, and not David... that's how good they have this disguise, at least to me...

The thing that grinds my gears about the Pattinson situation is the reasoning behind it. I’ve seen people say that they don’t “fit together”, and I gotta say, that is the entire point and appeal of a crossover

I think a lot of people are just used to the MCU way of doing things where all of the characters just homogeneously blend together when Gunn wants the DCU to have diversity

The reason they don't fit together is not "one is dark the other one is bright". That's fine and desirable when it comes to the Superman-Batman dynamic. In fact I'm actively hoping that despite the fantastical nature of the DCU Batman he'll keep the darkness that's made him so compelling in the modern era of comics.

The reason they don't fit is because Pattinson's world is very decidedly NOT a world in which heroes exist and have existed for a long time. It is not a world with sci-fi technology like the ones that Mr. Terrific has, it is not a world where stuff like the Creature Commandos exists, and Pattinson's Batman is very very very much not designed to be up against the threats that a world like that has to offer, he's designed to be an urban crime fighter that'd be a big deal in a realistic world like our own and making the transition from that to one that can stand toe to toe with Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, Metamorpho, Green Lantern, let alone Superman would be very very very hard and kinda destroy the whole character in the process.

I got it! Lois tags along with the FBI for a mission to seize a war lord in Africa of a captured village and they get captured. Superman saves her and then Lex kills any survivors and hires an actress to pose as a survivor of Superman killing her village. Superman is called to testify before Congress for what he has done and Lex kills everyone with a bomb.

Is this true?

The reasoning is Matt Reeves doesn't want to do it. He's the leading creative force. He knows best.
