Well, Superman: The Animated Series was pretty lit, some I'm down with that!

They can always visit the more "mature" Superman films anytime they want if they own a DVD Player...

I'd even say give Superman & Lois a spin for a more mature Superman too haha. Still sad to see that one go!

The set photo also shows Superman doing something that Henry Cavill's Superman also did in Man Of Steel (lifting heavy objects). Why one is a cartoon and one is "adult" is a mystery, but no one can accuse Snyder Bros of being logical and rational in their tribalism.

I will gladly take a cartoon in live action over a dark, gritty, sexy, violent Superman movie any day. Superman: The Movie was, For all entents and purposes, a cartoon and live action, and look how wonderful that film is... i'll take that over Batman V Superman any day, any hour, any time

I feel if they wanna do a great Superman movie, they could have done one in 2006, in an alternate universe where Returns wasn't an idea and that Sky Captain was a big hit, have the director of that direct a Superman movie, cast Charlize Theron as Lois Lane, have it be from her point of view while Superman fights a bunch of giant robots in the vein of those Fleischer cartoons.

You have the action, the corny matinee feeling, the visuals.

I just watched Barbie the movie for the first time the other day. Honestly I didn’t get the movie at all. I could see Gunn’s Superman having a similar effect with Marvel and Snyder fans. Gunn promised us a true come to life Superman and an original superhero story. So the social media community will crap all over this movie every chance they get for clicks and views. It is what it is. For me I have never in my life had as much fun on this board the last few weeks reading everyone’s posts. Even the negative ones. Superman is truly back. Can’t wait for the trailer.
