Probably the actor playing Blade. Alli is one of most respected actors in Hollywood. As crazy as it sounds they might want Blade to be an award winning movie. Look at Joker 2. Fans wanted Mad Love and we got a court drama with singing and dancing.

The joke isn't that hard to comprehend.
The MCU Blade film was still in development hell while filming that scene. It's a jab at how long it was taking to make it.

The How Did This Get Made episode for the movie is great! (I bought their Kumite shirt) The writer of the story, the guy JCVD plays, is nuts!

‘Superman’ is going to be incredible next year and we have so many things planned on the U.S. network side to support it and to ride the superhero wave. So that I am really excited about because I think that’s one of the things that our company does better than anybody; we all lean in. And when it’s something like a ‘Harry Potter’ or a ‘Barbie’ or a ‘Superman,’ there are so many touch points for so many different people, men, women, children. Everybody loves it, and everybody can come to it from a different angle, different stage of life. So the fact that we’ll be able to celebrate it in different ways across the U.S. networks is going to be really fun.
