As a man with fake abs, I find comments like this offensive. :cmad:

It was always going to be hard to have more than one Batman actor out there but it’s a bit of a shame if they bring Battinson in and they can’t do the Damien story like they clearly wanted to because he’s so young

by the time the batman part 2 comes out, pattinson will be in his 40s, they can definitely do damien or any robin if they wanted too.

that's if they make battinson the dcu batman, but i don't see that happening, because the reevesverse is so "grounded" in that verisimilitude.

but in that wild scenario, if pattinson is folded into the dcu, i do think he can play that comic bookey batman that can stand toe to toe with the justice league.

he's got helluva a range as an actor.

Sneider also said there’s plenty of time to turn things around and he still thinks the movie will be good, it’s just going to take a lot of work. He also said Gunn is aware of the issues.

Sounds like CGI issues. Especially if they don’t do any reshoots. Hopefully they can clear up the issues if the haven’t already. Personally I did not see any problems with the trailer.

Please tell me I don’t see Grace doing a 30+ minute video dissecting the Easter eggs in a ****ing two and a half minute teaser.

45 minutes. Listen the Superman hype is real. She is going have to do something on it. She probably threw some shots at Gunn so I bet it was not all positive. Especially with the Batman delay news.

Jeff Sneider doubled down on his report. He says multiple people told him the current cut of the movie is bad and WB is worried.

Sneider knows what he's doing when he reports these things. He's intentionally trying to create buzz and draw eyeballs to himself and his newsletter because Superman is the talk of the town right now.

In the same segment with Rocha, Jeff made a point to say every movie is a mess and it's common. He tried to downplay it somewhat when Rocha, who is laughably dramatic and has terrible takes, said people should be worried. Jeff tried to say it's no big deal and every movie is a mess until it isn't.

Bottom line, I think Jeff knows the editing process is always challenging and he decided to throw this Superman mess news out there to increase his business.

BINGO!

Just stopping in to say as a lifelong Batman fan - I'm really stoked for this film. Superman needs a win in pop culture.

Comic book films have been gritty/dark, cynically quippy and snarky. But in today's rather bleak times; a dose of optimism and hope may just be what the doctor ordered in mainstream film. It'd be a refreshing change.

I used to hate Superman. Then I kinda liked him in the DCAU. Now, I'm making an effort to read many Superman stories, catch up on the shows/films, and I'm really enjoying it.

I feel like I've discovered an old friend that I always had but never noticed, before.

This film so far has been the spark for me to start appreciating the character, and I'm already grateful for it for that alone.

Superman is classic, hopeful, bright and old fashioned; and in the words of Agent Coulson - "People might just need a little old fashioned."

I highly doubt Superman will be a "bad" film, but, playing devils advocate here, if it is, then the whole damn bunch will need to be fired considering how big the budget is, the actors, and the time they've had to get it just right.
If anything, WB being "worried" gives me hope. They loved both BvS and the Flash.

Gunn knows this, so no, I'm not worried. Not even a little.

If the movie is a mess => Sneider: TOLD YA.

If the movie isn't a mess. => Sneider: TOLD YA.

What's funny about this "mess" business, is the film also doesn't come out for another 6 months and it is clearly going to go through a number of edits, VFX changes, etc. Robert Meyer Burnett has talked a number of times about the Superman Returns friends and family screening being a much different and richer film than the one that was released.

And if Sneider is saying that this is common for films to be a mess at this stage, then he is only even reporting on this film being as such because he believes it's going to get him attention, for good or bad.

I remember Gunn taking a picture with past and present DC Comics writers (they were all wearing Superman shirts) were they just on the set, or did they get a peak at the Movie as well? I'd be more curious what they think tbh.
