Definitely not trying to start a tribalism war with DC and Marvel, but after watching that Fantastic Four Trailer just now, it's hilarious to me if anyone honestly thinks that is going to draw the same hype as Gunn's Superman.

F4 is definitely going to move slots in July. And I say that as someone who is looking forward to seeing the film, even if it looks like every other Marvel film only with a 60's setting.

Yeah I was waiting for someone to react to the trailer, I didn’t want to be labeled as a hater. The Thing and Galactus was very disappointing. Krypto and the Kiaju CGI crushes both of them. I actually like the first two Johnny Storms better than this Stranger Things guy. I will say this, I like the chemistry between Sue and Reid but the Wanda vision 60s look doesn’t work for me.

FF4 does look good and so does Superman. I just don't like the usual pettiness of Disney/Marvel by scheduling FF4 two weeks after Superman.

They did that solely to hurt Superman.

Even if I'm wrong and F4 doesn't move slots, and if Superman turns out to be great, I don't see it having much of an impact on Superman's BO.

I think all three including Jurassic 4 can have a great summer box office run. Similar to Wicked, Moana 2, and Gladiator did during the beginning of the Holiday season and Supes/Jurassic/F4 don’t have to battle with Mufasa/Sonic in August.

It's completely impossible for me to compare the two because my excitement level is so Superman biased.

But I didn't feel much from the F4 trailer. I really like Pedro and enjoy F4 in general. I'm just not sure I got much of a sense of anything that's really gonna peak my interest more than any other Marvel movie lately. I'm also not sold on the chemistry of the cast.

Also, that last line was so ripped from the Superman & Lois playbook

I thought the Superman and F4 trailers were both solid .

They're both certainly comic books come to life, and much brighter and optimistic, than their last iterations .

They both look like pretty family friendly films, which is the right note to strike.

I haven't been as wowed by either trailer as much as fandom in both camps have been , but both were good peaks into what we could expect.

i'm slightly more enthusiastic for superman, but i really like what i saw with the f4 teaser.

i'm just hyped that we're getting a dc and a marvel movie that's both diving into that silver age comic book goodness.
