The unforeseen perks of having the Food Network as a sister company I guess!
Just as long as we get the eventual Martian Manhunter actor in full make-up guest judging a show where the key ingredient is Oreo… that’s where the magic is.

You'll get a random black side character being revealed to have been him all along in a sequel and like it. :o

Jeff Sneider says Gunn’s Superman has a really goofy tone that has some worried.

This isn't a shot at you but can we stop posting this goof's notes?

He clearly has an agenda or leaning into a narrative based on what he thinks will get him chatter for his newsletter.

He's an exhausting personality who we should just ignore at this point.

Nothing is assured until we have the movie in front of us, but dropping an “Oooh, the execs are worried” just days after the movie’s importance to the company was expressed feels like the ultimate “shooting fish in the barrel” moment for the clickbait brigade.

I'm not seeing how having a goofy tone is necessarily a bad thing? And its not like that would be a huge shocker given Gunn's track record.
I think it’s about balance. Obviously you don’t want the too-serious, dour tone that Superman just escaped from… but you also don’t want Peacemaker.

But Gunn has already said he’s mindful of the film not having that kind of GOTG/Peacemaker vibe, so I really don’t think he’d let it tip too much in that direction. We’ll probably get some shenanigans from Guy Gardner and maybe the Daily Planet staff, but I can’t see it being goofy across the board.

Seriously. Like every other post here is “well, Jeff Sneider thinks this, now Jeff Sneider thinks that.”

I appreciate some fun speculation but it’s just posts highlighting his latest “rumor” followed by posters replying that he only spews out BS. It’s a weird cycle we’re stuck in

This movie has krypto the Super dog and Guy Gardner with a comic accurate bowl cut... Goofy is a key ingredient baked into the formula. Not that it has to be a goofball production though.

I think James Gunn is very good at selling the movie he's making in his trailers. Go back and Re-watch the Guardians trailers, Peacemaker, TSS, and creature Commandos. The tone and overall vibe of the movies can be felt in each one of those. So if the first teaser is anything to go by, I think the tone for this will be just right.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.

I'm shocked so far at the lack of david corenswet marketing. If you look at the marketing for man of steel and superman returns for example, we had tons of photos by this time of brandon and henry in costume, full body shots, magazine covers etc. I'm not talking footage here, I know that will come in time, but just simple photo shoot type stuff. Most of the shots of him we have gotten have been either low quality or just crap phone pictures from toy tags. Seems to me they could do more there.

We're about to get the first full trailer likely next month. Then we'll have too much content.

I've noticed that studios don't really do stills and pics much to promote movies anymore , if not in the last month before the movie releases (when the final press material gets out) or in correlation with merchandise or tie-ins.

Or maybe it's just part of their strategy to hold things off as much as possible until the first full trailer releases, and then kick of the "Summer of Superman."

Mods can you start an insider thread? Since Sneider came out with his information other positive Superman information has come out. Supposedly the movie is action packed and has three standouts.
