Well, it's a dull — not bright — yellow. Also, there appears to be a yellow border around the shield.

They're shooting in a dull, colorless environment with some blue hue, so all of the colors will appear duller and darker. Under warmer, brighter lighting, and a bit of color correction, it looks more vibrant than the MOS shield.

Yeah, he won’t say it out loud but if you read between the lines, you can tell he really didn’t like what Snyder did with Superman. I mean, right off the bat, he canned Cavill (he claimed it was due to his age and that does factor into it a bit but I also think it was because he didn’t want people to associate his version with Snyder’s) and then one of the first things he said about his Superman is that he NEVER kills. Seems pretty cut and dry. And I’m glad to hear it. Glad we’re leaving the DC Murderverse in the past.

I think so and I am very, very happy about that.

Also, I love how the emblem has a stitched together appearance. Almost like Martha Kent stitched it together from Kryptonian fabric.

Somewhat surprised Gunn actually went with the KC emblem. It looks good (and huge).

Even this new, fresh version of Superman couldn't escape the MOS/ASM texture

Something about it makes me even more convinced we're getting the briefs, which would be disappointing, but not a dealbreaker.

People complained about Snyder's suits, but this part of new costume looks cheap, the texture in uninspired, the colors are dull, I liked more previous suits, if we talk about chest part.

Don’t disagree. But it’s not the bright primary yellow from the comic book pages. The Reeve shield (for example) was pretty close to primary yellow.

So, is it safe to assume that is the top of the suit and David is wearing it? Gunn's blurb makes it sound that way. So are we to assume David is in Norway at the present time, filming? If so, where are those intrepid Norwegians with good cameras.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the idea of going with the Kingdom Come emblem either, but this is more of a case of using it as inspiration and a jumping off point that actually using it. There is lot more rounding and curves in this shield, in particular in the borders, in actuality it is more of a hybrid of early Golden Age designs and the Kingdom Come shield.

I quite liked the name Superman Legacy, so I'm a bit sad to see it dropped. Also, years from now, with this title just being Superman, when people talk about these films, they'll have to specifically Superman 2025 to not get mixed up with Superman 1978- which, yeah, I know is also sometimes called Superman The Movie, but come on, people just call it Superman.

But also not gonna crap on what came before, either.

As someone who is pretty "meh" on the KC logo being used as Superman's primary shield, I think it looks good here. The material seems similar to that of Peacemaker's costume which I thought was a good basis to start with. I'd wager that the overall costume will be pretty classic.
