Superman getting arrested and The Caped Crusader trailer in the same day.

I had a feeling Gunn was going to do something interesting w/ the disguise, especially given how much he loves All-Star—I just wasn't sure what. But pushing David's hair forward and leaving it all messy, which is essentially the natural state of curly hair, was a clever idea.I wasn't sure if the Clark hair was working for me at first, but seeing it side by side with David as Superman and it's perfect. You'd actually believe they're two different people.
Another remnant of the Perez Hilton days of Hollywood gossip sites minus the child pornography, homophobia, and misogyny.Sidebar: JustJared is such an atrocious site to navigate. My God.
It's wild how literal days can pass w/o any new content being released, and then all of a sudden, we get a ton of crap at once.Superman getting arrested and The Caped Crusader trailer in the same day.![]()

genuinely intrigued... The only character in the DC universe that I know that has a U on the chest is Ultraman... if any one knows of any other character, please help me out here, because nothing is coming to mind
Ulysses is a name being thrown around right now other than Ultraman. He was around during the New52 era under the Geoff Johns and John Romita JR run.genuinely intrigued... I'd argue it's more sad that Superman's almost 9 decades worth of source material has been ignored by adaptations again and again and again in favor of redoing the same two movies. It's saddening how often Donner is used as a kind of dirty word in this thread
So like most modern CBMs.I feel the weakest part of this film will be the villains for me...aside from Lex, hopefully. We'll see.

You give Superman The Animated Series too much credit.Yes why would any Superman adaptation want to take influence from the best and by a vast margin most iconic adaptation of the character which remains the foundational ur-text of CBMs to this day.

I love Lex enough that I'm actually happy he'll be the best villain in the movie.I feel the weakest part of this film will be the villains for me...aside from Lex, hopefully. We'll see.
Yeah, I’m sure Donner is an influence given Gunn’s age and appreciation for that film but it’s pretty obvious there are tons of other influences at play. Mixing Donner with the best of post-crisis Superman comics sounds like a great recipe to me, frankly makes me a lot more interested in this than I would be if it was just doing the banal John Byrne snoozefest take.Gunn is not like Donner at all though. Even if he runs that way aesthetically here and there, I can't imagine it being all that similar in dialogue or characterization or direction. Gunn has also name dropped all types of comics and artists as inspiration.
I’ve been (probably annoyingly) cynical about this movie but I have zero doubts Gunn and Hoult will nail Lex. Almost assuredly going to be the best part of the movie.I love Lex enough that I'm actually happy he'll be the best villain in the movie.
