I'm with you, I think it's just the lightingIt's just the lighting. Very strong sunlight casts very dark shadows. It's not a different suit. The suit in these photos still has the "new" neckline. The belt only looks "thinner" because the top edge is cast in shadow and is blending into the blue. If you look at the lower edge of the belt it sticks out far from the trunks.
You can see the same strong shadows in the photo of Gunn and Will Reeve as well.
To be fair, I haven't followed the MCU in a long time, but when was the last time anyone remembered Marvel doing any big stunt sequences on location like this?

Even with Gunn, I assume this has got to be a relatively new experience for him since his Guardians films were all very extraterrestrial in setting. Although The Suicide Squad might have given him some practice for this, I haven't seen it though.
What if the clone's emblem gets blown off, he tries to put it back but he's stupid so he accidentally flips it the other way aroundThere are definitely going to be two different suits in this movie

It's also the distance then.![]()
That's not "just lighting"... look at his arms, that hue of blue is much darker than the set photos we got when we saw the suit in direct or indirect sunlight a few days ago.
The two don't match up.
It's not distance either

This photo is from even further away, in the blue suit is not in direct sunlight, and you can still see the hue of blue that is on the suit... these are two completely different suits.
It's definitely a battle damaged suit from whatever he's gone through saving people in the city

I happily stand corrected
Battle damage.

I'd need to look, but if it's not Black Widow then it'd be Civil War. Unless they did something for Far From Home we didn't see because it was overseas. To be fair, I haven't followed the MCU in a long time, but when was the last time anyone remembered Marvel doing any big stunt sequences on location like this?

Yeah that pretty much solves that mystery. They made a 2nd suit that’s just the “battle damaged” version of the regular suit, and that’s the one in the officially released pic, as well as the set video from the other day. Just weird about the collar.
Battle damage.
