Don't get me wrong, Corenswet is the right (super) man for the job, but damn, Reeve's son didn't audition?

Homie has that Superman jawline.
Reeve's daughter Alexandra, from his first marriage, has it too!

If Zack Snyder was directing this scene.

Zack's relationship with WB seems to be repaired. ZSJL will hit theaters, per Zack today on Twitter. Between Gunn knocking his Superman out of the park and seeing that posted today from ZS, I'm on cloud 9 as a fan. I missed this feeling.

Yeah that pretty much solves that mystery. They made a 2nd suit that’s just the “battle damaged” version of the regular suit, and that’s the one in the officially released pic, as well as the set video from the other day. Just weird about the collar.
Maybe I take it back the first released photo being Ultraman now :funny:

It's definitely a battle damaged suit from whatever he's gone through saving people in the city

This may sound silly to some of you, and that's fine with me, but what really peaks my interest and curiosity, here, is the type of material they used to make that suit, because whatever debris, or dust, or water, or whatever it may be, could make that hue of blue change so drastically, that has to be a material that is breathable, or very absorbent

There seems to be a lot of water used per say. Maybe they built it to look wet or that it was submerged in water during his saves?

All these super, heroic acts that we are seeing with these set pics has me giddy with excitement.

It feels like we're are going to get a proper and classic Superman that we haven't seen since the Reeve's films.

It's a shame SR chose to filmed these scenes but chose to show them as news clips in the background. I've been waiting so long for these type of moments. Hopefully they deliver on the finished project.

What if that dude really is Ulysses and the eyebrows really are just a make-up technique and there is no Ultraman at all! Could be our new “Venom in the Eye.” :funny:
I love it either way! It looks like Gunn is going to knock this thing out of the park. You can feel it.

What happens if most of these scenes end up being shown as news clips or background photos as well?😔

This feels A LOT more respectful in honoring CR's legacy when compared to the stunt pulled in "The Flash".
These things work out for the best. A film as glaringly bad as The Flash doesn't deserve to be graced by a Reeve.

The week full of BTS has been fantastic. I was excited before, I am beyond thrilled now. And we still have more than a year to go. I usually get spoilers from works with directors and writers I don't trust, especially with tv. Now part of me wants every spoiler there is, but a larger part wants to just wait and enjoy at I watch. I have never been to a midnight show of any new movie, that may change this time.

Plus, I want every interview I can see, plus a complete and total background in any release, actors, writers, the people who will do the CGI, etc

Sorry to say midnight premieres are all but extinct now ever since TDKR and the shooting that happened with that. Now they do Thursday afternoon/evening premieres usually. Energy’s not remotely the same, ngl.

Its sad that happened, but I do prefer a showing that is in an afternoon or evening... maybe it's just because I'm getting old, but I'm getting to that place in my mind where going to see a movie at midnight is not necessarily the best thing for me

I get that, but they just aren’t nearly as fun at the end of the day imo. Because being more convenient at a more reasonable hour, you get casuals mixed in with the die hards at those shows. So the energy of the audience is flat in comparison. The midnight shows were ALL die hards, people who knew when to make noise AND when to shut up because they cared about what’s happening on screen just as much as you did. The whole notion of “movies are a communal experience” was never more true than at those, and that energy was magical. Everyone being up when they normally would have been in bed and being a tad sleep-deprived also probably added to the manic excitement too lmao.

So yes, it’s 100% more convenient for pretty much everybody, no argument there, but that’s exactly what makes the experience less special.

In some ways, I'm actually grateful that this film didn't come out back in 2020/2021. In addition to all of the film restrictions posed during that period due to COVID-19, it would've sucked that if this film was released on HBO Max at the same time as it was in theaters.
