Look at Superman having to kill all those kids before they use their heat vision.

Unless James Gunn just decides to go on a different route.
Which you don't have any proof of. But talk like you do. Yell at people like you do. Just because you follow James Gunn on social media, doesn't make you anymore knowledge then anyone else. FC does it to. She just doesn't act like it gives her great authority.

Thank you for proving everyone's point.
The point I was making was that the whole "OMAC villain Maxwell Lord" is not James Gunn's preferred take on the character and therefore there's no reason to think he's gonna go for that.

What you posted makes it very clear he's part villain. The "nuance" of Waller, is what makes her a villain for anyone with a slightly left of center take. Which Gunn has.

"I like nuance" does not equal "not a villain".

He mentions Waller, who was about as villainy as villains can be in TSS. Besides, odds are if they somehow make it to the time and place to tell Max's story, it won't be Gunn's decision because it won't be his movie.

He also explicitly talks about the original JLI take, where Maxwell was explicitly not a villain.

What Invader Joker is talking about is Snyder style "nuance".

The Justice League being independent will most likely be apart of the story. Gunn has made it clear how he feels about corporations and government squads. So they can start funded, but it won't last.

If this thing actually gets to the point of Batman being involved, he'll be the only potential sponsor they have. Because Bruce himself would be very big on the independence of the group.

Is Diana Prince canonically rich too or is that just something the Snyderverse made up?

I can't recall in JL/JLU if she was wealthy in her civilian form.

I'm literally talking about the original JLI comic take which is also what James was talking about. omfg
Here is the issue. You seem to think that if someone isn't an outright villain, they aren't a villain at all.

Now read the social media post you posted. Look at Waller. Now tell me, in James Gunn's Suicide Squad. Is she a villain or not?
