If Superman's claim to importance is whether or not he's first, then this guy must really suck and be a boring character.

What does any of that have to do with this movie? In the Justice League animated series, Superman was widely regarded as the greatest superhero of them all, even though in this universe, Batman had been crime-fighting years before Superman made his public appearance, but it wasn't the case so much in Justice League War.
What does any of that have to do with this movie?
I think Smallville is really the only one this century. I guess we'll see with MAWS and where that goes, but both of those were originally conceived as standalone and retrofitted to expansion. How many versions of Superman exist where he’s actually the first that aren’t standalone stories where other heroes presumably don’t exist? I am sure it exists but it hasn’t been comics canon, or even in most adaptations, for decades and decades.
It's been a while since I saw the later seasons, but on Smallville, didn't the JSA pre-date Clark? And Oliver was even a proper hero before Clark was.I think Smallville is really the only one this century. It's been so long, I don't even remember. You might be right though. It's been a while since I saw the later seasons, but on Smallville, didn't the JSA pre-date Clark? And Oliver was even a proper hero before Clark was.
And on Smallville, literally all the others he meets who get their origins on his show end up jumping right into the superhero game while he waffles about with "destiny" for a few more seasons.I think Smallville is really the only one this century. And even, then he starts as Neo.And on Smallville, literally all the others he meets who get their origins on his show end up jumping right into the superhero game while he waffles about with "destiny" for a few more seasons.![]()

He's totally getting one of those Lord jackets.I guess that raises the question - to be first, does he need to just be born or does he have to get his suit too?![]()

A movie about Superman coming to the world as the first alien/superhero? That's sick, why hasn't that been done beforeNo. I never said he should be the 'ONLY' superhero, just the 'first'.

First of all they are totally recognizable. Second could you at least come up with a less lazy criticism?
Believe me, Guy will let everyone know how cool his ring is. Nathan will be hilarious.Yeah, there's that too, the Guy Gardner suit will most likely have some CGI enhancements, as in theory, the suit is meant to be a construct of the ring.
I mean the helmet and mace are the only two things that make her costume Hawkgirl, so I think the film is perfectly fine in that regard. With the exception of Hawkgirl's element and mace, I really don't see anything that resembles this.

Like I said, I'm hoping there's an actual narrative reason for why they're dressed in those costumes.

So besides the stuff that make her look like the character she doesn't look like the character? With the exception of Hawkgirl's element and mace, I really don't see anything that resembles this.
