Can't believe the disdain for the brilliant TDK teaser in here. We got it almost a year out just after the completion of principal production. It was an awesome early tease and really set the mood and stakes of the film perfectly. People who wanted more at that point were being unreasonably greedy.

I absolutely LOVED that teaser. Just hearing the voice and Ledger’s “I’m a man of my word.” Followed by the laugh.

You knew the film would be special just from maybe five seconds of dialogue

I can't see it being a subtle trailer, they need this to work and I doubt you would hold a trailer "event" for a logo and a voice over (I know people aren't saying it's gonna be 1:1 TDK)

It would be fun if we start flying through Metropolis City and we fly by "every character" and then we take off to the moon and we realise it's Krypto and he walks up behind Supes, the camera spins around and Supes pats Krypto, says he is a good boy and smiles at the earth (the camera)

I doubt that this is going to be one of those "made for the teaser footage" kind of deal.

The teaser will show scenes from the movie. I'm sure about that.

I may bring that back for the first time since I did it with BvS, only because I have exactly no idea what to expect and my reaction either way will be genuine. That was always fun for me, but all the fakeness from those engagement channels ruined most things I liked to do.

I am seriously waiting to see if I love this first look to get hyped. If I love it as much as I think and have been hearing, I will be buying the logo shirt. Just been holding out for this.

I am about to rewatch all of the Man of Steel trailers. Loved each and everyone of them. Snyder built each trailer up well together. The 1st full trailer was the best superhero trailer I have ever seen till this day. That cape, first flight, and the music.

I don't know if this is an actual track from the soundtrack, but the John Williams theme is definitely quoted there.

EDIT : The suit looks as classic as it gets, and it's pretty, pretty good!

I love the poster. The music is different. Kind of mysterious. I am intrigued. So it looks like they will be building this up until the big release Thursday.

Graphic design nerd thing: Although I thought the logo font was a little too simple (but maybe on purpose to contrast with the colorful images?), I like this shiny silver-blue look given here.
It's reminiscent of Donner's Superman, of course, but to me it also convey a more general "retro vibe" like the original Star Wars and all those sci-fi/adventure classics.
Let's hope that's the actual feel of the movie!
