If Brainiac is in the film does that mean Lex is sort of a red herring as the Big Bad or is Lex in league with Brainiac JLU style? I would have to say, being able to hide the villain that long would be pretty impressive especially with the amount of scrutiny that is on the film.

Then again the fact that teaser came out and we are now asking more questions and can feel there is more that we havent been told is impressive in and of itself.

I was a Brainiac truther for a long time throughout this production, but I've let that dream go now. I think this movie may very well SET UP Brainiac, and will allude to him in some way, but I have strong doubts of him being the main villain of this piece. The Ultraman stuff is too prominent.

Feels weird to group the "just Batman" side of things with the "shared DC universe" side of things. The "Just Batman" side of things has been thriving almost my whole life, with the only tenuous period being when Batman & Robin came out. I expect the sequels to The Batman (as well as any spinoffs) to continue this trend and so I have no worries about the "Just Batman" side of things.

Meanwhile the "shared DC Universe" side of things has been a train wreck so far, and so I'm waiting with bated breath to see how things turn out in the long run with this new attempt.

I'm sure the movie is expensive if they are developing the DCU out of this. That said, sometimes accounting has to get creative in order to get a maximum tax credit so it's best not to look at any of this stuff and make assumptions.

I don't necessarily mind the fortress still retaining that Donner crystal look but I do hope they pull a Tardis and the inside is completely different looking than the outside.

My only issues with the film is the following:

1) Not the story I would tell, but who knows maybe it'll all work. I was surprised by all the JL characters on top of the rumored villain.

2) The collar. The suit is almost pitch perfect for me if it retained a neckline like Chris or Henry.

3) Recycling elements of the Donner verse. I was hoping Gunn would give us a new theme and take Kryptonian tech in a different direction. Instead, we've returned to the crystals and the Williams theme. I like the theme, but was kind of hoping for something unique.

That's pretty much it for now.

I have a feeling there is a much different theme overall but they chose this part to play for this teaser to get the emotions it is getting. Full on total nostalgia as emotional manipulation.

And while the crystal fortress is a rehash, it will likely be quite different overall. Donner's was bland and had zero to it. (except a bed bowchick wowow) That was mostly because in 1978 they didn't have the technology or budget to do it right. There is .000000001% chance Gunn is going to have it be that way...I mean the guy had Howard the Duck in a case in GOTG you really think he isn't going to have all sorts of things inside the FOS? He is going to load up every Easter Egg he can just to make dorks like us go crazy in the theaters!

Superman trailer really hit home runs with Superman, Clark and Lois, Luther, and Krypto. Mr. Terrific looks serious unlike the CW character. Got to say this I think they hit it out of park with the casting of Guy Gardener. Nathan was born to play this role.

We just need 30 seconds of Supes for the Super Bowl of him flying and I think we save the story trailer for Thunderbolts. What ever you do James don’t do a BVS moment with Ultraman or Engineer. Save their action/reveal for the movie.

I'm not a fan of the Donner crystals myself (I just like to believe Krypton had more personality than that), but if they add all the Morrison sci-fi-ness to the inside, I'll be happy.

I.said the movie version is more serious like the Mr.Terrific comics. The CW Mr.Terrific’s look is fine. The issue is that in the CW he was goofy and unsure of himself. That is not Mr. Terrific.
