As I mentioned in the Clark thread, that shot really drives home that David really, really is a big, big boi. He takes up the entire revolving door both in height and width.

Yeah, he’s huge. That’s what makes it so funny when the Cavill trolls try and act like he’s some beanpole just because he doesn’t start every morning with two ribeyes and a canister of HGH.

Gunn’s career without Kevin Feige is much more erratic.

His DC content (The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, etc.) have also been critically acclaimed. No director is infallible but he does have a spotless record in this genre right now. Gunn has earned the benefit of the doubt until we see his film next summer.

His comic movies are pretty much....more or less copy/paste. So Superman is the most interesting one he will have done in his career thus far even though he's playing into some of his usual tropes

To quote my son after a former teammate from his track team went to a different school and showed up with 20 lbs more muscle on his frame:
“Bro’s been eating a bowl of ‘roids for breakfast every morning.”

"Take me Home,
Kripto boy
to the place
I beloooooong"

Neither Fortress of Solitude. nor Metropolis or Smallville rhyme with Virginia. :downcast:

You’re wrong. Sneider is confrontational but he’s a good reporter. He was one of the founding members of The Wrap and was the lead entertainment reporter for Variety ten years ago. To say that he’s some spurned jabroni with a blog is untrue.
I am not wrong. Good reporters dont act the way he acts, get caught making crap up the way he does and get all ******** when their antics come back to bite them in the...well you get the idea. He may have at one time had credibility but he is nothing but a self absorbed waste of space now and he comes off as a sad frail little weakling every time someone posts one of his self congratulatory tweets. He is the perfect example of everything that is wrong with the entertainment ecosystem.

What he did in the past means nothing...just because he once was legit doesn't make him legit now. Past results don't predict future outcomes.

I mean I dont even like him and I agree with this.

Gunn's record is critically acclaimed. But I really noticed with creature commandos it seems to be rinse and repeat. That why I'm hoping he changes his style with superman.

As for the scooper stuff, at the end of the day, I always take the approach not to get too caught up in these things. It's fun information to hear and if it ends up being false so be it.

I've been reading about this stuff for so long that you read enough behind the scenes info and realize during the development process things change so often it's not surprising old info leaks out. If someone would have told me that Snyder wanted Lois and Bruce to have a kid in his movies I would have thought that rumour was insane. Turns out it was actually true and it was stopped.

I think Gunn's "style" is fine. I just think he needed a character like Superman (and the expectations of making a Superman movie) to get out of his comfort zone. Gunn has basically perfected the "team of outcasts who are weird and broken" movie. The Guardians movies. The Suicide Squad. Creature Commandos is basically The Suicide Squad 2024. There isn't really a challenge in Gunn doing this type of superhero story anymore. He just needed a new story to tell.

We did this with Routh/Bale years back too. It's just some of us nerds wanting to see it happen lol.

Happened with Reeve and Keaton back in the day, too. And then Batfleck never actually got his own movie. Seems like the universe just doesn't want Batman movies to cross over with Superman.
