I would not believe that buzz either. I doubt there has been anything screened besides random footage.

I listened to a podcast where someone made a good point in that calling this a "screening" isn't even fair or accurate.

Anything that has been viewed is taking place during that natural course of the editing process with those who are working on the film. It's a rough, unfinished cut at best.

This isn't even a cut that is prepared for test screening audiences.

I remember the rumour about BvS getting a standing ovation. I've been ignoring all the early screening reactions ever since I saw that film.

All I can say regarding this movie is that I liked the teaser and look forward to a full trailer next year.

Definitely seeing the attempts to fire up the negativity train online, but that isn't reflected in terms of people in general. Trailer almost has a huge 50 million views with a strong like/dislike ratio. Nothing to do but to wait and see how the movie turns out.

I believe in Gunn’s track record on comic book films and the fact that the movie is not ready to show in a movie theater. So you are correct. It’s just goes to show that when the critics see this like the Penguin series the one negative view will get the most traction.

No one knows more than Gunn himself that every little detail of this film will be nitpicked to death and compared to MoS.
It's unavoidable.
For that reason above all others, he will get it right.

One thing I wanted to bring up that I'm not sure anyone else has, but having gone over the teaser another 56 times, I finally realised that in all the action elements of the trailer, I never saw Superman use any of his powers, with the exception of strength and flight. No heat vision, no ice breath, I know it's just a teaser, so it's no big deal, but in situations like when the kaiju was blasting him with his fire breath, Superman didn't utilise his ice breath to counteract it. Just a thought.

FF4 at 3 without a trailer. Maybe that movie will get more traction than I believe. Although I got the feeling before the poll that Thunderbolts would get a better reception then Brave New World. I think the Sam Captain America is going to get some negative backlash.
