Honest question...why watch the stuff on youtube? 90% of it is clickbait nonsense from people who have no more credibility or value than you do. You are putting yourself in a position (no matter how much you curate) to find the ragebait stuff and spoilers. If you want them to stop just dont click.I did it for the teaser trailer and it was good for a few weeks. Then I believe the negative YouTubers would change their titles. It’s frustrating. I have a feeling I already know the plot of Brave New World and I have really not been following it. I was hoping I could get my ticket and just watch it. YouTube won’t let that happen.
I get it, we all want to be part of a community and such but youtube (and most social media) is not about that anymore. Its about monetization. They are overvalued fanboys or failed bloggers who know they can make a few bucks sitting in their basement saying off the wall nonsense that is either way too positive or extremely negative because people think they know something or they need a dopamine hit.
Its the equivalent of walking up to a guy wearing a sign that says "My face needs slapping", them slapping you and then you being upset your face hurts...and then going back to the guy and wondering why he keeps slapping you.
You don't have to go dark, just stay away from the things that make your experience less fun. If you don't want to be spoiled, stay away from the guys who love to spoil crap. If you don't want to see people nitpicking and meme-ing supposed bad cgi, stay away from the average online "commentator". I understand that seems simplistic, but in reality it is just that easy. Until you (and others obviously) do they are just going to get worse. Same with the jerks on Twitter (why even be on Twitter...that place is just bots and racists at this point) if you dont like the way they engage on movies, stop engaging them. If you hate reading it go somewhere else. Twitter and Threads needs the negative engagement to keep their numbers up that is why they forcefeed you stuff they know will get you going. Dont let them. Either mute it, block it or scroll on by.
