It’s actually really easy because those are his real eyes. Real eyes do that. People are just seeing “AI” everywhere these days. Which is disturbing in its own way.

I think overall, it looks great. The flying, the CG, the barrel roll, etc. I noticed all of that good stuff first. The face shot just fell a little short to be able to say the same for me, but that's not to say it won't happen elsewhere. I am expecting that. High expectations in the visuals Gunn is bound to give us. As for the eyes, I'm not trying to specifically point out AI itself, and sure those are his real eyes, but I'm not imagining how it comes across. He just looks weird in that shot for me personally (lens or no lens). It's like..8/10 there. So it's still good enough for me. I actually enjoy the torch Gunn is going for in his flying technique.

One of my favorite things about David when I first saw him all those years ago, was his voice. His voice is perfection for Superman. I can't believe they haven't let him speak as of yet in the trailers or what not. It's very commanding. I hope next time around when it comes to the next trailer, that the world and people not familiar with him can hear him speak. That will be a nice leap for people to hear. It all goes hand in hand, and the voice for Superman was always a thing for me.

I think it’s safe to say we will get an image/poster with Superman and Supergirl together but will we get it before the Superman movie or will it be part of the hype for Supergirl later in the year.

I think Supergirl will just be teased and hidden until after Superman. Her full reveal should be in the movie. Plus, we don't know what she will look like in Supergirl compared to what she will look like in Superman, so the very first official promo for Supergirl should be after Superman where she can have her own spotlight for her own movie. They should only tease her before Superman as a small reminder to keep the suspense at a sizzle.

I think Gunn is building this perfectly. I rewatched all the teaser trailers and the “Icon” spot together. The main full trailer will be something to behold. I don’t believe we will get that until May. I believe we get the clip for Puppy Bowl and that will be it. Kinda like BVS Knightmare scene or Sinners over the weekend.

Now to be fair to Cavill, he barely had any scenes with her in Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare but given that they implied a romantic relationship with the two of them, I seriously have to wonder if they filmed scenes together and the chemistry was so nonexistent that Guy Ritchie just scrapped them.

In all seriousness, I don’t even dislike Cavill. It’s a contingent of his diehard stans that annoy me because they try to ruin Superman fandom for everyone but themselves. And I don’t even think most of them give a crap about Superman; they just obsess over Snyder and Cavill because they think they exude toxic bro energy or something.

Cavill's character spends 90% of the film on a boat, trying to get to the island that Eiza's character is situated as a spy so it's supremely unlikely that there were any scenes between the two that could have been scrapped because of their terribleness on account of the fact that their characters were never really in the same place as one another.

The group is comical. I saw someone actually show what Gunn was doing with the Superman flight scene. It really is Top Gunn Maverick. Had both the maverick clip and the icon clip on the screen together. It was cool.

That’s all true, but (SPOILERS AHEAD for those who haven’t seen it) the epilogue revealed that their characters eventually got married (as their real-life counterparts did). Given that, you would have thought that they would have at least had ONE scene that hinted at their future circumstances but I think all we got was them saying hello to each other once.

"lol looks like AI" they say looking at this picture where the issue, if anything, is that its too naturalistic with the eyes and not touched up enough in post so David doesn't look like the sexiest member of the family from The Hills Have Eyes.

That shot looks hideous, imo, but its so clearly not AI.

See, I'm not getting this "hideous" thing people are saying. I can't think of a more hyperbolic exaggeration than that. I think you can not like something, that's fine but hideous is a bit over the top. Alot of people love the man of steel first flight and I frankly think it's fairly average at best, but I'd never hyperbole it with hideous or worst scene ever, or some other term that just simply isn't true.

To be fair, I suspect it'll be equivalent to how every Batman looks like an absolute goober sometimes in the cowl no matter how sick they look in other shots. That dead on, front facing shot of a dude rocketing forward with wind resistance on the face is gonna look derpy sometimes - there's a few comparably dumb shots of Cavill. Not as dumb, but close.
