Also if you're getting the dark knight rises steelbook, do yourself a favor and go buy these two steelbooks from Best Buy. Who cares if you own these three movies multiple times?! You're going to watch them so much they're going to quit working anyways haha.

Kind of disappointing, the reborn documentary IS ONLY 35 minutes so those of us that preordered it, we've seen it in full haha.

Does anyone have the Trilogy version yet? I know its not out yet, but it seems people already have some versions.

I already own those steelbooks. So that means I need a TDKR one to finish the collection :awesome:

I've decided to get the regular Blu-ray from Best Buy for $19. I was going to get the Best Buy steelbook until I found out the exclusive documentary was a joke. Just not worth paying $6 more for better cover art. I'm waiting to see what WB comes up with for the Ultimate Collector's Edition Trilogy next year. Hopefully they fix the transfers for BB/TDK and provide much better special features for TDK (especially related to Heath's performance). Then if it's worth buying, I'll get it and give my regular Blu-rays of the three films to my sister or parents.

i decided i'm gonna go to Target & Best Buy this Tues and see if they have the broken cowl edition of the movie. if not, i'm gonna pre-order it from Wal Mart.

Just realized this is coming out in 2 days. Stoked! I only got to see it once in theaters.

I got the steel book cover with Batman's broken mask for my blu-ray copy. The regular blu-ray cover and the DVD cover look hideous.

Regular BD cover is terrible. But it will due until the Ultimate Edition Trilogy Boxset arrives next year. Then I can give away or sell the singular BD discs. :)

Walmart will carry a few. Possibly also best buy.

This BD and film is so amazing. So many sequences I can't stop re-watching.

Bane's death scene is so perfect. From his delivery of "You will just have to imagine the fire" and him setting a shotgun to Bats head and then bam, Bane himself is blown away. Great timing and sound editing. And Selina's quirky line after that always brings a smile to my face. :)

I love the way that's shot and edited. For a millisecond you're thinking he actually pulled the trigger.

That's true, but 99% of the time it sits on a shelf with just the spine showing.

So anyone know what comes in this ultimate trilogy edition coming next year? I am not really into double dipping for movies anymore. Unless that edition has some truly awesome and worth wild stuff I will stick with the movies on blu ray and the making of trilogy hardcover book I have.

We probably won't get that info until closer to the release.

I'm going to get the 2-disc DVD edition from Walmart...or maybe I'll just wait until its available on Amazon for cheaper :D. I still have the BB and TDK 2-disc DVD editions - I never bothered to switch to Blu-Ray for those films, so I might as well complete the collection.

However, if the Ultimate Trilogy Collection next year has truly worthwhile material, I'll give away my old trilogy discs and switch to the Blu-Ray versions.

I got a question for you guys: I own BB and TDK on DVD but not Blu Ray, so I've yet to see those two movies in Hi-Def. I'm just wondering how the "hi-def" quality is on those two movies and if it's worth upgrading. I'm debating whether to buy the steelbook for those two or wait for the Ultimate Trilogy set next year.

I was like you, only had BB and TDK on DVD, and before TDKR came out I bought that ultraviolet steelbook from Amazon.uk. Watching both films, especially TDK was a big difference on my 47 inch flat screen.

So yeah, I'd buy them now while they are fairly cheap and get the ultimate box set next year.

As much as I hated the movie, I only did see it once, and there were a few scenes I did like (Plane heist, Bane breaking the Bat, Bat-Pod chase, Final battle)

Damn it, after all the negative comments I made about this movie, now I find myself wanting to actually buy it.. I hope I will grow it like it better on repeat viewings..

I know the Blu-Ray has more special features than the DVD, but are there any Special Editions of the DVD (Like a WalMart or Target exclusive) that has more special features than the standard edition?

There's a 2-disc DVD version exclusive to Wal-Mart. I don't know if anyone has heard what's on it yet, however.

Cool, I'll have to pick that one up.

Not sure if it will grow on you. If you were merely disappointed, but liked a fair bit of the film, then I could easily see it being a grower for you. But if you really hated it, then I'm not sure. You never know though, follow your gut.

I am a huge Batman and Nolan fan and LOVE Begins and Dark Knight. Now I don't hate Rises but I get where you are coming from. Rises is a very good movie but for me it did not deliver a epic finale to the trilogy. Tom Hardy is good but once you found out that he was basically Talia's lapdog it really brought the character down, and lets face it, he was no where near as compelling as Heath's Joker. And besides the sewer fight and police chase scene, the action in Rises were very lackluster ( the finale battle is a joke).

Also there are some plot points and characters that weren't needed, as well as plot holes. But with repeated viewings my feelings might change, because I did enjoy the core story of Bruce in Rises and the rest of the cast was pretty good. So who knows, I might end up liking the movie more come Tuesday lol.

Yeah, the Final Battle between Bats and Bane was criminally short, but I still liked it. Bats kept dodging Bane's blows, then got him right in the face, breaking his mask. The "Oh ****!" look on Bane's face when his mask began to break was priceless.

And the trigger tirade. I want to see that again. Funniest scene in the whole movie.

For those who have seen The Dark Knight Reborn, is it even worth it? Or is it just a mix of footage from special features that we've seen already?
