Still better than fear being said every 3.2 seconds.
"To conquer fear, you must become fear. And men fear most what they cannot see."

If this were a drinking game, three shots in one sentence. Needless to say, I do not recommend playing the BB drinking game .

Someone linked with the ninja that leaked the prologue is hinting something will come "tonight" in terms of the trailer.

And we all blamed Goyer at the time.

Shame on us.

Fixed the quote. :funny:

What, did he steal away into your bedroom while you were sleeping and touch you inappropriately, or something? :o
I'm from Cincinnati. I am contractually obligated to hate the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Professional wide receiver for the NFL team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's the football player in the leaked trailer running towards the end zone while the field caves in behind him...and if I remember correctly from previous set reports is killed moments after by Bane. :wow:

Thanks for the info. I don't watch football.

Hahaha, why's he so hated?

A little whiff of Dark Knight Rises criticism, and you show up like a fly on manure.

Emotional complexity? What the hell? There was nothing complex about that trailer. Hines Ward running from an explosion would've seemed ****** anywhere else, but because it's Nolan, that makes it complex and dark? The doom of having Batman get his back broken? Yeah, because a ****** 90s arc that was created for the sole purpose of bringing in an edgy 90's Batman (Azrael) definitely brings the doom.

Oh yes, I'm the one that can't handle criticism. :o

I stated my opinion on a collection of opinions on another board. I have every right to do so, and now you're devaluing this arc.

Alfred's sentimental 'confession' and failed promise, Selina's warning to Bruce of an inevitable fate, Bane's powerful prescence, etc are monumental clips.

Take it for what it's worth, or don't, and b***h.

I don't like Hines Ward either. There's just something about his face that triggers a reaction in me.

Hahaha, I can't believe people are arguing which trailer is better (between TDK and TDKR) and make all these comparisons to support their opinion. This is certainly a sign of things to come. I'd never thought I'd see the day where TDK would come under fire but I guarantee when TDKR approaches and is finally released we'll start seeing all kinds of arguments about how much better TDKR is compared to TDK. Fans are going to **** all over TDK. I can see debating a Nolan film against a Burton film ('89 vs. TDK) but a Nolan film vs. a Nolan film? LOL. It's going to be crazy, hahahaha. We ain't seen nothing yet in terms of negativity, just you wait. Joker vs. Bane, theme vs. theme, Box office vs. box office, The Dark Knight vs. The Dark Knight Rises.

Calm down, Begins. Now's not the time for fear... that came earlier.

You're gonna have to explain that.
you can have a story come to a resolute end without having the main character die or retire.

Nolan's story isn't just about Batman, it's about the various sociological and psychological themes that he's introduced over the past two films.

When I hear him talk about a definitive ending, I immediately think conclusion to those themes and philosophies rather than a straight up "Batman is going to die".

That said, I don't know what Nolan's going to do. He could very well do either or both. But I do think everyone's putting too much weight on Nolan's words. They really don't reveal anything outside of Nolan ending his directorial involvement with Batman.

I find the constant competitive comparisons of TDK to TDKR strange. Both are films by Christopher Nolan & crew and both hold contrasting arcs and characters.

I merely responded to the sarcastic rhetorical question by 'Nolan's Fans'.

"...Yes, that's what we wanted."

Then what did you want? :o

“My brother is writing a script for me and we’ll wait to see how it turns out…he’s struggling to put it together into the epic story that you want it to be…Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story…And in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story.”
Seems explicit about concluding the story he wants to tell.
Also, I seem to remember a badassdigest report about WB brass being unhappy with the ending because it didn't allow for a continuation of the franchise in the Nolanverse. Though I never read of it elsewhere.
So, to me, there is enough evidence that this film ends the story Nolan wants to tell.
Isn't the franchise being rebooted after TDKR?

There's nothing wrong with wanting TDKR to be better than TDK. I know I do, if i didn't i wouldn't be here. Discussing which trailer is better is a little much though....

Yeah I wouldn't put too much stock into trailers. Everyone thought X3 and Spider-Man 3 had good trailers.... look how those turned out.
