Sorry for sitting over here with this look of befuddlement on my face but you must understand...
I am from a planet where there is ALSO an actress named Natalie Portman. However, the one I'm thinking of is a one-note, over-exposed plain Jane who was INSTRUMENTAL in destroying a certain sci-fi film franchise that used to be inextricably bound to my childhood. Thanks in part to her, my childhood is now dead.
I know the Natalie Portman considered for a role in DKR couldn't possibly be the same person.

Ehhh I think George Lucas was mainly to blame. I think he had great actors, he just is a terrible writer/director. Great idea man. But the future George does not have it anymore lol.

I don't know if regwec has the exclusive in this, but I will eat your heart.

hooray for nerd hyperbole.
You have to give Prequel fans such as yourself credit, you're all very loyal.
I once felt as you did.![]()
Yup. Ditto for the heavily mob-focused storyline, the appearance of characters with wild gimmicks of their own, and let's not forget Robin!I think TLH was a big influence because it's one of the few stories that focuses on the early part of Batman's career. Plus it's a good story. The story itself was villain heavy, so just because Catwoman was a major part of the story doesn't necessarily mean she'll automatically be a shoe in for the movies. I mean if we went by that logic then Holiday should have been, too.
It won't be Lively so I'm not worried about that, but I am very worried about the notion of Hathaway being in the next film. Knightly's casting wouldn't impress me either.

agreed....Out of that list I hope Nolan picks Rachel Weisz. She's 40, just a little older than Bale, but close enough. Easy on the eyes and a great actress. She could easily play Catwoman, Talia or any other female character Nolan has up his sleeve as far as I'm concerned.
Knightley and Hathaway are both great actresses, but they both seem way too young.
Portman, like Knightley and Anne Hathaway, is way too young. I can't say I've been a big fan of her films or her acting. I think V for Vendetta is the only movie I've seen that I liked her in. The accent helped a little. That and V for Vendetta was just a good movie anyways.
Not familiar with Blake Lively to be honest.
I wouldn't mind Naomi Watts, but only if she's 2nd on the list after Weisz.
