The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - - Part 11

Cavanaugh isn't a shock, they pretty much set up ending Wells' story. Valdes seems to have finally pulled the cord. It has seemed he has been a bit wishy washy about staying around. The big question is Panabaker.

If they're all leaving, maybe it's best to end the show next season. I don't really think it will be interesting to watch a show with Barry, Iris, Allegra and Chester, and where they're scraping the bottom of the barrel with enemies.

If maybe they'd added Sue Dearbon to the cast it would've been more interesting, but I don't think we'll see that now as they've written out Ralph.

Sad to hear that there won't be any Cisco anymore. It won't be the same without him, but yeah, they have been going back and forth with him too much. As stated, he doesn't want to fight bad guys because of the danger so he takes the 'cure' but he still fights crime only with his blaster gauntlets...

And I always liked Cavanaugh. When he came back as Earth 1 original Wells, I was hoping they would finally settle the character down - not write him off completely. But, when the actors want to go, what else are they gonna due..?

Now that is very cool. I'm been missing Nora. Hope it isn't a flashback or some momentary blip.

I’m glad to have no more Wellses, but I have a hard time imagining this show without Cisco, tbh. The episodes where he hasn’t been around, his absence is felt, imo. The newer members of the team just don’t fill that void. I really feel like this is a sign they need to wrap it up (I mean, creatively, they should’ve wrapped it up a while ago, but you know what I mean).

The only way this show survives is if continues as a Flash Family kinda deal, naturally with better writing too.

If Nora is back and Bart is being introduced, keep them around. Make the show about speedsters and what they can do collectively for a while.

That's my two cents.

Edit: it hasn't happened before, but I'm two episodes behind at the minute and honestly, I just ain't bothered. Nothing about this season really has me invested.

I was hoping for Godspeed and Thawne. Instead we get a living and breathing backstabbing speed force and poor development on characters that should've been developed long ago.

Unfortunately I doubt the writing will get any better. Plenty of stories that they could explore but just refuse to. They keep playing it extremely safe.

So I'm going to assume some kind of time shenanigans brought Nora back into existence since technically her timeline has been completely erased . I wonder how they'll justify this.

Who says its the same Nora that we were introduced to?

The Impulse costume looks good, goes well with his hair. Just goes to show how much they screwed Wally over in the costume department.

Covid is on Earth 3 as well? :(
Yeah it's going to play a huge part of the backhalf of episodes like Grey's Anatomy. The whole city is on lockdown and Flash has to run around and make sure Central City is wearing their mask and not breaking Covid protocols.

So if the Garricks had been relocated to Earth-Prime after the events of Crisis, how does that explain them still looking like Barry's deceased parents?

Because Arrowverse was stupid and had doppelgangers able to basically "escape" to Earth Prime. National City is full of doppelgangers. No one merged or anything, just everything left the same except for some changes in history. MG and co. tried to explain away Black Siren as "Oliver chose to kill off E1 Laurel and save E2 Laurel"

I think we will have two Jay Garricks - one for Stargirl on Earth-2 and one from Earth-3 living on Earth-Prime.

Nope it's the same according to John Wesley Shipp Jay will be making a trip to Earth 2 to offer guidance to Courtney.

It's funny that we have Diggle making 5 appearances, Jay making 2 and we're still in this "we cant do crossovers" with some of the showrunners

Then Jay will be the first to discover the new Multiverse.
I hope it's all wrong. Surely the whole point of crisis and the merging of earths was to focus everything on one earth, but they allowed the multiverse again. Why? It's not as if their big plan of earth-prime characters coexisting has paid off. Kara gets sucked into the phantom zone and nobody thinks to at least give Clark or Barry a call? Barry is struggling with a lightning force and doesn't consider what Jefferson could bring to the table?

It's a royal mess. Stargirl is good. I don't want them to ruin that by suddenly throwing her in with Barry Allen and Sara Lance.

If there's a Jay Garrick on Earth-2, then great, but please for the love of god don't make him the same one that Barry will interact with.

Because at the end of the Crisis in the Arrowverse only served one purpose. To "unite" Supergirl/Black Lightning with the rest of the Cw shows and if MG wanted to use other shows he had to promise to "put everything back where it was". But the Arrowverse writers just arent that creative and screwed up Crisis literally an episode after the big event lol.

That they certainly did. Should've left the hell alone.

Arrow & Flash on E1, Batwoman too, and maybe Black Lightening because they can all feature as independent heroes or vigilantes specific to their city (except Flash who should be covering the entire planet).

Superman and Supergirl in their own universe. Let there be aliens.

Stargirl in her own universe. That show stands well on its own.

And throw Legends into Earth-J for joke. They can exist in a universe that's just full of cheese and bad puns etc

The crossovers are generally time intensive, with some precise scheduling. You literally cannot do big crossovers, or I suspect even the more minor crossovers with leading actor, with the current covid restrictions on filming. Covid restrictions has slowed filming down tremendously
