The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - - Part 11

Are you serious ?! Or being sarcastic... if your really serious more power to you.
It was so freakin good.. I made sure to record the follow up episode... TWICE.

No, it was terrible. This has turned into a weekly comedy for me... I am sticking with it because I love Cavanagh (Scrubs being a guilty pleasure of mine)... and I was HOPING he'd go out with a bad ass Reverse Flash returns season... but here we are... with episodes the Flash isn't even in so we can focus on Whatsherf*** for some reason....

I'm dying here. :funny:
Oh c'mon, anyone can read the intended sarcasm there. :p

No seriously... I just rewatched it for the 32nd time and let me tell you... if the flash was a fruit, it would definitely be B-A-N-A-N- oh god dammit what am I doing.

Savage sarcasm I can definitely appreciate your style . Props you have talent kid

I'd be quite happy if none of these cast members opted to return for Season 8. I feel like Jesse would be the biggest loss, but when was the last time either Caitlin or Iris were credible?

I mean... Iris always is, obviously, being half of the Flash, but maybe they can write her out or something? Have her sucked into a time vortex on episode one, and have her rescued in the final? At least we'd have an entire season without the Iris drama, and we'll only have THE Flash (maybe his kids too).

Personally, I think the writing for Iris's character has gotten MUCH better when compared to previous seasons. Having Iris disappear for an whole season due to some tragic reason would just make Barry's whole arc about finding her again. It would be like a repeat of the disastrous Mirror Mistress storyline.

I think Jesse leaving would actually make the most sense. I'm enjoying his current storyline this season but I feel like his role on the show has gotten smaller and smaller lately. You could easily write Joe and Cecile out and not miss a beat.

On this, I'd actually probably agree. Her writing has improved, but sometimes I still think the emphasis on her importance is too much.

Her absence in the latest episode was certainly very strange too, especially with the phone calls. They'd have been better off having Barry just not be on the phone to her.

Jordan really hits it out of the park as Bart. Id rather they just end Barrys journey and spin off Bart.

With live-action debuts of Superboy Conner Kent, Robin Tim Drake, and Impulse Bart Allen we need a Young Justice live-action series.

Well let's not forget that there was once a time where Barry's story was considered a breath of fresh air, especially when compared to Oliver's dark and brooding world. However, bad writing and terrible creative decisions have caused the Flash's show to be where it's at today. Unless they get better producers, then the same thing will end up happening to Bart's show.

That's just how it goes. But they are dragging their feet with Barry.

"Ahead of the 150th episode of 'The Flash,' Jordan Fisher discusses how he studied Grant Gustin and Candice Patton's performances to play Bart Allen, a.k.a. Impulse."

So... he mistakenly thinks Isis is The Flash too? :p

Taking into account how reluctant Barry is about going into the future to see his kids, he's not remotely concerned about them being in the past - potentially changing the past, and thus their future...

Also curious, but do we know where Barry is in this new future; the one where Bart and Nora are from?

They haven’t mentioned it recently, but a few years ago Legends had future Barry as the head of the CCPD. I’m guessing that’s the current timeline.

I've never been so disinterested in this show as I was in the arc about the Forces. For the first time since the show debuted, I felt myself losing enthusiasm. However, the show has gotten its mojo back with the last 3 episodes. It's been so refreshing to see Nora and Jay again, and the Godspeed action has been magnificent.

Godspeed could have easily served as the main villain for this season. Unless I'm mistaken, the original mission for "Black Hole" in the comics was to gain control over the speed force. Instead of wasting the organization over Mirror Mistress's stupid arc, their goal would have been to create their own speedster.

Although the event itself was an huge disappointment, Crisis was the perfect way to revamp this show into something better.

Possible, but then considering how frequently time changes, that future either no longer exists or it's part of a TVA-style branched timeline.

All the other timelines where we've met a version of Barry - good and bad, where are they? Erased?

Crisis was the biggest disappointment that's come out of the CwDcVerse, and yet event itself (or rather, the writing teams behind it) have a lot to answer for.

So what do you guys think the next big crossover event is going to be in the CW-DCverse. Clearly John Diggle is going to be involved as he has shown up in all of the DC shows so far. They have already done Flashpoint and Crisis On Infinite Earths. So what is going to be next. The Death Of Superman perhaps. Maybe the villain from Superman & Lois is going to morph into Doomsday, and it takes all of the heroes from the combined shows to take him down (but ultimately it comes down to Superman and Doomsday and we all know how that turns out). Or do you guys think that it might be something else.
