The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - - Part 11

I haven't watched this show in 3-4 seasons. Both Arrow and the Flash were excellent to start..... and then fell off a cliff for me. I used to get so excited to watch new episodes. Having seen a couple clips from recent seasons, it doesn't feel like I've missed much with the Flash. It also feels like the effects have gotten worse, but maybe I was just more forgiving of them before because the writing was significantly better.

Looks like we have our big bad for 8A. Hopefully he's more Bloodwork then evil Speed Force

Anything on The Flash villains for after the “Armageddon” aliens? –Stephen
Well as previously reported, showrunner Eric Wallace told me that one of the upcoming nemeses “will be the biggest and most powerful villain the Flash has yet faced,” and would appear “quite early in Season 8” — so, maybe he was referring to the five-part “Armageddon” event? But I will now also share that Wallace teased “another new villain that will force Team Flash to face their mortality in a highly personal and ultimately terrifying way.”

The biggest question is: Will Team Flash be able to defeat these villains with the power of love and a powerful speech?

Neither. Every member of Team Flash will instead gain powers from the speed force and charge towards the villain while all yelling in unison "WE ARE THE FLASH".

Meanwhile Barry will have to face his biggest challenge yet, when he challenges on the Trickster (Mark Hamil) in a lightning saber duel.

They always say the new villains are going to be better and more menacing, and then they aren't.

I'm interested in seeing what they're doing with Darhk & Thawne in the Armageddon story, but beyond that I honestly have little interest in the show going forward.

I gave up on Legends, I don't watch Batwoman. Supergirl is coming to an end. Black Lightening was cancelled. It's really only the Superman and Stargirl shows that're worth watching at the minute.

Same with me for Superman & Lois and Stargirl. Batwoman I will continue to watch if and when they have Batwoman & Luke Fox's Batwing team-up.

Damn. I actually will feel bad for them if they see that. Still funny though.

Fall Season Premieres 2021: Preview of Returning TV Shows | TVLine

Much has been revealed about the five-episode “Armageddon” event that opens Season 8 — Barry & Co. will team with Black Lightning, Arrow’s Mia Smoak, Batwoman and others against both aliens (led by Tony Curran’s Despero) and an Eobard Thawne/Damien Darhk alliance — and showrunner Eric Wallace isn’t inclined to spoil much more, other than to say “there is a level of scale and spectacle, right out of the gate, that we weren’t able to achieve last year”(due to COVID restrictions). But in previewing Season 8 as a whole, Wallace confirmed the return of speedster kids Bart and Nora as well as Kristen Kramer (who has “a lot to deal with” upon realizing her meta-mimicking skills), and teased a villain who “will force Team Flash to face their mortality in a highly personal and ultimately terrifying way.”

BONUS SPOILER!: Wallace said that Joe West “is going to get an incredibly different perspective on life, and it will lead him to a really big choice” — one that dwarfs last season’s decision to turn in his badge.

RETURN DATE: Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 8/7c (The CW)

Any scoop on what Iris West will be doing in Season 8 of The Flash? –Isabella
One thing she won’t be doing, at least during the five-part premiere event, is struggling with her eye-glowing time sickness. “Iris’ time sickness gets dealt with after ‘Armageddon,'” showrunner Eric Wallace told me. “Solving Iris’ time sickness is a huge, huge part of the entire season, and it will take all season to solve that. And that will have big ramifications for Barry and Iris’ relationship and marriage.”

Boots look cool. Maybe I don't pay enough attention to the lower half, but I hadn't actually noticed until now that he didn't have golden boots.

The boots actually look really good. They put $$ into those.

Besides giving him a more high budget suit, seems like there isnt much more to do with his costume going forward.

Hello everyone,
I hope I am writing in the correct place.

I just wanted to ask you guys' opinion on time travel.

Specifically. When Barry created Flashpoint, could he have traveled to the future of the Flashpoint timeline, And Changed something there as well as having already saved his mother?

Thank you in advance.
