The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - - Part 11

How do people think this season will end, given that it will be cut short? Will it be something climactic or going out with a whimper? Can they do anything to mitigate that like shuffling elements around or re-editing episodes so that the final one has the most dramatic cliffhanger?

I honestly think that the Thor: Ragnarok 4D treatment would work for completing the season arc:

The producers could even justify this, in-universe, by saying that Barry or the Legends temporarily broke everything again.

‘Supernatural,’ ‘The Flash,’ and ‘Legacies’ Season Endings Pushed Due to Coronavirus

On the “Flash” front, the DC show has enough episodes completed to last it through May 19, however, it too will then go in a hiatus with the hope of returning to finish season 6 later in 2020. Replacing it in the Tuesday 8 p.m. time slot will be new drama “Stargirl,” which is shifting its premiere date up a week. “Stargirl” will now premiere one day after it debuts digitally on DC Universe platform, as its digital debut also moves up by a week.

That'll give them an ok amount of time to film the finale should they get the clear to get production back up and running.

Awful news. Thoughts go out to the friends and family.

How horrible. My heart goes out them. RIP.

"Heartsick to learn of Logan Williams' death at 16," Shipp tweeted. "He was 100% committed to playing young Barry Allen, and we missed him once we moved past that part of the story. Love and compassion to Logan's family and friends in your grief."

Why is he in black? Has Flash turned evil again?

Maybe next season we'll have some episodes set in lockdown where Flash can't run anywhere. Maybe the return of Zoom while characters are communicating over Zoom?

when they get back to production and film the finals should they use or address a pandemic like event happening in their world as well to reflect real world events? would this make it more relatable? or would that be in bad taste?

I cann't help but think the world today is like something out of a sci-fi movie or show... it seems like it would make for a good plot/setting...

I don't think it would be in bad taste. It almost seems like it would be in bad taste not to acknowledge it at all and pretend like nothing ever happened.

Of course, a show like the Flash which used to have lots of multiple earths could get away with it. Is Flash's earth the same as our earth in real life or more of an alternate earth?

Public opinion would quickly turn against speedsters and breachers during a time of quarantine. Even Elongated Man would have to break isolation rules to use his powers. Frost has ranged options; she might have to become the face of the organization while the others stay home.

Not surprised, they already resume filming for the new season in mid July and of course the actors wont want to work during their "off time" and probably had other plans already. Just do a 2hr season premiere.

It could be a night-mode stealth suit, like on Young Justice:

Where's the sense in a night/stealth suit when he's a speedster that emits electricity and light when he runs? He's managed without a stealth suit thus far, so unless he's suddenly taking on vampires or something, I don't personally see the purpose for it.

I'm definitely not getting a Savitar vibe either. It's probably for something else.

Night-mode stealth-suit ... with lightning suppression!

The modified prototype red firefighter's suit that Barry wears, along with the visual effects of his powers, provide reassurance to the city he protects, and being able to go really, really fast has meant that there's not much need to be sneaky. If Barry needs to do something more covert than ever before, or if his powers stay nerfed (like Wally's in Young Justice, or after the Crisis comics), he might need to make stealth part of his arsenal.
