The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - - Part 11

The crossovers are generally time intensive, with some precise scheduling. You literally cannot do big crossovers, or I suspect even the more minor crossovers with leading actor, with the current covid restrictions on filming. Covid restrictions has slowed filming down tremendously
What was the excuse before? How many times did they imply that Arrow and Flash would cross more and they never did?; we even had that bar scene with Barry and Ollie with them saying "we should do this more often" except nope, they didn't.

That happens in real life though all the time. People say "we should do this more often" or "don't be a stranger" but then months or years can still pass by without contact. People get busy in life and often only turn to those immediately near to them who have been currently involved in their life even if a friend has previously said he or she would be willing to help and is only a phone call away. People don't want to impose and often believe the other person didn't really mean that or that they're too busy with their own problems and don't want to disturb them.

This has to be your only serious, non sarcastic comment in a DCTV post like... ever! :p

And yes, it's true, but that's not the point. These characters in their shared world should have more to do with each other. You'd think on an earth with Kryptonians and Aliens, they'd be on the central city news.

Hell, when was the last time we saw aliens on Flash or Batwoman or even Black Lightening? What's so special about National City where Supergirl is?

Keeping the tradition of awkward looking official costume reveals. Suit looks good, that image doesn't translate well. Hope the kid can act.

He looks like a peperami with him being so long and skinny in that costume like that. The problem is partly the angle too. The original drawing has more foreshortening and perspective because it's shot slightly from the top as if he's coming towards you. The photograph here though is shot straight on from the front at ground level which is why it doesn't have that dynamic look at all.

The Suit looks neat but that Promo picture looks as Goofy as you can possibly make it.
That is not helping anybody.

I get the idea, but the execution is as CW as it gets.

Suit looks good, he looks good, its 1000% better than the ugly Kid Flash costume.

Now lets see if they take Impulses interesting storyline and water it down and make it generic.

Looks like Reverse Flash is back one last time
He'll be back again before we know it. Figures he'd have something to do with the Godspeed angle though. I do with Eobard would cycle through some different costumes mind you; Barry has through the consistent years. Are we supposed to believe that all of Eobard's interactions with the team (from his perspective) are within the same limited timeframe?

The suit actually looks pretty good

And he's wearing nail varnish because?

This is what Legends of Tomorrow should be doing lol. OR better yet...a Worlds Finest mini series. But I get it...cheaper to have Grant under contract on The Flash and force him to participate. Guess it was only a matter of time they used The Flash like they used Arrow as a continuous spin off model.

Did they learn nothing from the last crossover? They've ruined the CWverse as far as I'm concerned. What do they possibly hope to do here, and who do they possibly hope to include?

My only thoughts are Diggle as a Lantern showing up. That's legitimately the only angle that would have me remotely excited for this news.

Whatever happens, and however they do it, I can only hope, pray even that it's not the Flash writers who will be writing for these episodes, cause those guys need to move back into writing children's books or something.

They should just make the whole season mini-crossovers each episode, cut down on most of the meaningless supporting cast, and end the show on that note.

I mean, 5 one off crossovers with one character is much better than a bloated crossover event. And if the haphazard release schedule is an indication of production, probably easier to get a bigger character from another show.
