If they go with that for Grodd, I'll be happy...as long as he has a cape. (It's a talking gorilla, go the whole way with the silliness and give him the damn purple cape.)

(IRIS'S POV) The awkward moment when you realize that your future husband is probably boinking your nephew's future wife....

I am not bothered about the cape but I hope Grodd has his crown/helmet type thing.

Thanks CaptainWagner ive been reading on this forum ever since the first episode of The Flash. This is my favorite site alot of good post. I appreciate that!

If they do go to Flashpoint, I'd like to see some characters from this universe fill the roles from the book.

Perhaps the first thing Barry does is go to The Arrow for help, but it's Slade under the hood. After Slade was injected, Ivo killed Oliver, Sara, and Shado. When Slade woke up, he managed to kill Ivo and his men and make it back to civilization. To honor his lost friends, he gathered a fortune in the same way he did in the normal universe then took up protecting Oliver's city and Yao Fei's hood in honor of Shado. He'd be more of a brutal, loose-cannon version. That way Stephen Amell wouldn't need to take time off.

Ray Palmer could take Cyborg's place as the technological badass who has the world on his side and the government's backing.

Firestorm could take Superman's place as the super-powerful being who was captured by the government as soon as they arrived and is heavily sheltered and not in complete control of their powers.

As far the global conflict that dooms the Earth, not too sure in that regard yet.

Vito D'Ambrosio played police officer Anthony "Tony" Bellows in the original 1990 CBS series, and in the upcoming 17th episode of The Flash

I'm a little confused at this point... I mean, it's really great that they're using actors from the old Flash show reprising the roles here, but that kind of thing usually means that there is some sort of continuity. Are they going for it or what?

I think it's just fan service, or them paying homage to the old show...but by no means, are they attempting to establish any continuity between the two shows.

Yeah that's pretty much what it is. It's pretty neat to see too for those of us who were also around when the original show was on the air.

I'm more familiar with all of the old school rogues, Captains Cold and Boomerang, Trickster, Weather Wizard, Mirror Master, Grodd, etc.
From what I'm reading (please correct me if I'm wrong) it looks like all the current members of "Team Flash'' (Wells, Snow, Cisco) will at some point become villains and turn on him.
Have I got the right of that?
Please enlighten me.

If they go by comic book canon then Cisco ends up becoming a superhero not a villain.

Ah, thanks. Well that's one for Barry's team, I guess. :woot: Like I said, I don't know anything at all about Vibe, and I'm only slightly more familiar with Killer Frost and RF/Zoom., mostly thru the cartoons and DCUO. (KF was a SHE-BEAST in that game.)

I think wells is future barry and the reverse flash is future eddie

in the last episode "the sound and the fury" wells said in the final sceane that we has powers but occasionally looses them...

maybe this is because he is really barry and when he travelled back to the past he was hit by the particle accelerator a second time, resulting in him being "cured"

Sounds perfect dude.

I also speculated that if they did a Flashpoint arc that Slade would fulfill the role of CW!Flashpoint!Arrow. Good to know that other people think so.

However, somebody else did point out that it would be cool to see Flashpoint!Slade as a pirate like with the comics.

Could be part of the backstory, he'd have to commandeer AMAZO one way or the other.
