I agree to an extent. If Teddy Sears had to be Zoom, I wouldn't have minded him having some makeup to make him different. In some way. Just to show that Zoom Teddy is different to Jay Teddy etc. Like a slightly (or very) warped version of Teddy Sears.

well when earth 2 D.r. Wells removed the device from Barry's suit it should have been the end of it. Cause zoom wanted Earth 2 D.r. Wells to continuously do that for him.

So Barry should be back to normal. This is for all those that thought Zoom was a doppelganger of Zoom.

If you're looking for more answers, you'll unfortunately have to wait a bit as The Flash is going on a mini hiatus until March 22. Speaking to E!, Kriesberg added ---

"We'll be learning the truth about Jay Garrick as the season progresses. Some of what he told Barry and the team was true and some of it was misleading. At the earliest stages of planning the season there was some discussion that Zoom was Barry's Earth-2 doppelganger but we very quickly moved away and fell in love with the idea that it was Jay."

If anything, I feel like the show revealing that Zoom's trademark face is just an clever mask, with a normal looking guy's face underneath, kind of takes away the edge and mystique about his character.

I kind of agree. It makes me wonder why he wears it as well.

He removed it which should stop further speedtheft, but he could still be at 98% Speed force if it was stolen.
If Barry does actually generate the Speed Force, he'd definitely recover (heal)....

But even if he isn't, I'm guessing he just healed.

I wish Zoom was a speed demon entity without a human host. I wonder if Barry will become a Black Flash.

Maybe Jay 3/Zoom is from Supergirl's Earth, since a crossover is happening.

Supergirl's Earth didn't have advanced technology mixed with a 1950s aesthetic. I'm skeptical that it's Earth-2.

However, if Barry goes to Supergirl's Earth (let's call it Earth-3 for the moment), it would be plot relevant because it'll show that he can travel to other Earths even after the breaches were closed.

Couple theories:

This jay/zoom is from another earth jumping around killing or to prisoner his other selfs on different earths to gain more speed. Think jet li in the one where he traveled to different earths milling hisself to get stronger.

Jay/ zoom is from earth 3 who got powers similar to barry but wants more like an addict and found out about barry and now were where we are.

So in that movie Bales character is revealed to have an identical twin and they work together taking turns on who is the main guy and who's disguised. The other twin falls in love and things and things.

So the two Jays, Zolomon and E-2 Jay are both in on it trying to steal Barrys speed, but the other Jay falls in love with Caitlin, things get complicated and the other Jay murders the other. Make any sense to anyone? At first they take turns on being Zoom and being Jay. That would explain why Jay didnt help when Star Labs was attacked by the earth quake dude. He was the more evil one and just didn't care.

Interesting ... although I feel like having Jay be bad and lie to the Team would go back on the producers' word of not rehashing last year's arc, where Barry's mentor is really the villain.

IDk man,. Zoom just kind of lost allof his mystique to me. Zoom is this evil menacing entity of destruction,. and yet unmasked he looks like a chump. Gotta say the reveal bummed me out a bit.

Hopefully Sears can act demonic and scary without the mask. It's all in the execution. He looks like such a wholesome, 'good guy' it'd be cool seeing him genuinely, monstrously evil.

I think I know how Barry beats Zoom.

He runs fast enough to generate Speed Force and then he speed steals Zoom.

The way speed stealing works is similar to phasing. Phasing requires that Barry vibrate himself fast enough to the point that this speeds him up on a molecular level. His molecules move so fast his body becomes intangible. Think a solid going to liquid, and eventually to a gas and evaporating.

Speed stealing is basically the inverse. Through the Speed Force Barry can manipulate the world on a molecular level. In Zoom's case Barry could slow his molecules down so much to the point of paralysis.

But this comes with it's risks because

1) More breaches and maybe another singularity.
2) There's the risk of Barry speeding up so much that he gets stuck in the Speed Force permanently (going back to my early example of evaporating).
3) He's basically paralyzing Zoom for life which can be viewed as morally questionable.

So what do you guys think? Speed Steal or should Barry find another way?

CW shows usually take a break around this period. The shows are therefore set up in a way that allows them to create arcs and stories that have a certain timetable, so that in this case, the next 8-9 episode run straight through to the Finale so that they have full momentum.

What if E1 Henry Allen is really E1 Jay Garrick and that was his birth name but he was adopted and his name was changed? And maybe E2 Jay Garrick looks like John Wesley Shipp. So E1 Barry could be the son of E1 Jay Garrick.

And neither real Jay Garrick looks like Teddy Sears, who is only playing E1 or E2 Hunter Zolomon, one of whom stole Jay Garrick's identity but not his appearance.
