The "Get Violent" Video Game RPG OOC/Sign-up Thread

Okay guys, now that we're all setteled down in OOC and the games been going on for a fair old while, how about the first little event?

My thought was taking the invasion from Ratchet and Clank: Tool's of Destruction's first level and taking it to New York.

That's the first level of the game, at the end the bad guy'sname is Emperor Tachyon, and he's looking to kill Ratchet, the last of the Lombax's. How about I make a post where the Emperor, his ships, and his fishy soldiers etc appear in NYC, could bring the people together and make us feel a bit more like a community, with everyone meeting and fighting etc.

I'd definately be up for that. I've been looking for enemies other than Ganondorf (he's near the end) to fight and help get Pikachu set up.

Give us villains some time ...

Kerrigan and Arthas are army building, they'll have plenty of minions for the good guys to fight.

You got the Trickster who has turned Central Park into a rooted mess, killing a lot of people I'm sure. Someone could try stopping the satyr you know ...

What about the Spider Mastermind and its demons from hell!? They'll be tearing the city apart pretty soon unless someone besides Mario and Sam & Max comes to help out! (If you're still not convinced, just wait till some of the heavier artillery, Demons and Cacodemons, start appearing)

Dr. Robotnik has something up his sleeve, and I'm sure pretty soon NYC will be at Eggman's mercy before too long.

Donkey Kong is rampaging people! Theres like no one trying to stop him :/

Red and Fox are fighting Mewtwo, so we actually got a battle there going on.

You heroes could go fight some more Heartless too ...

There is plenty for the good guys to fight, they just aren't. One more NPC villain I don't really see helping.

I didn't mean it as an RPG kicker, its just in the Marvel RPG, we have these fights sometimes and they work out really well. Its not meant to be saving the RPG or anything (seeing as the RPG's not failing), just makes everyone feel a little bit more comfertable.

Well, Star Wolf, who I have reserve on, is coming for Fox. But I don't want to give anything away, so I won't say whether he's villian or not. Yet.

Nope. I just put the character's name, bolded, in his/her font and color, at the top of my posts.

Heck, some people don't even do that (but sometimes it can get confusing at times). I guess that's not too bad either, since most of the characters in this RPG I'm sure that everybody has at least heard of (minus a few of course).

Regarding my recent "unpleasantness..."

This is the only time I'm going to post this, and after this I'd like it to be forgotten:

I recently found out that my father has either stomach, lung, thyroid, or heart cancer, an autoimmune disease, or another rare disease. The doctors have been able to diagnose his condition because he is presenting with incredibly erratic symptoms. With the death of my mother a few years ago, this has me more on edge than usual. I will attempt to get my "jerkiness" under control, but it's likely that everyone and then I'll just have a ****ty night (see the "Get Violent" RPG) for more details.

This does not mean I'm going to be likely to care more about your feelings, everyone knows that's just not my style.

I just wanted to let everyone know what's going.

It oughtn't affect my performance, or lack thereof depending on perspective, in the games.

(I plan on posting this in most, if not all, of the games I play in; so if you've read this multiple times, then you're just silly.)

I'm sorry SSF to hear that. That really sucks. My mom has cancer too which has affected my RPing quality too, so I feel you. Good news is UK will have the graphic up as soon as he can.

I like the idea but I really think all we'd need to do is collaborate our hero characters into fighting the major villains already causing noticeable destruction. I'd give the honor of being the present main villain to Spider Mastermind, since it seems to be the most imminent threat (is it male or female??)

Also, we might want to have New York actually, you know, react to everything that's going on. There are monsters everywhere and lots of people are dying and there's been a TON of property damage etc...don't you think the National Guard would be in here by now, maybe even some evactuations?

And major lulz to the flame war. I get in here after a day and the OOC's expanded by almost ten pages...i guess that's what girls get for revealing their sex on the internet, because, as we all know, there are no real girls on the internet. No offense meant by that either John...just an inside joke...of the internet. I think it's a rule too...

I don't think they need to meet law enforcement necessarily. It all depends. Remember, we're dealing with real life NYC, not comic book world NYC. They aren't used to blue hedgehogs, pyrokinetic plumbers, and little kids in red hats who carry dragons in little balls on their belts. They might just freak out.

I know it's a tough call - seeing as how Red never actually talks in the game - but do you really think he would curse that much?
