I wonder if Heath would’ve had a different look for TDKR. Maybe he would’ve styled his makeup differently. It would’ve been so cool if he used red makeup around his eyes to sort of emulate the ASHOSE look and maybe a brighter green for his hair. So many possibilities. It’s fun and sad to think about

Best case scenario: I'm thinking this is more of a Scorsese type crime pic that Phillips is more interested in making than a strict comic book Joker movie where it's more about Arthur Fleck and the title of "Joker" will have a different connotation than the comic book Joker we know until there's some thematic capper to it being about the Joker we know. It would be where you wouldn't even need the Joker to tell this story. It could be its own thing except the branding.

If that's the case, I guess that's how you do it? It's at least interesting and thoughtful. Better than how awful Venom looks.

Our good friends over at Nerd Rage Podcast have some details on the new stand alone Joker film. They spoke with who they say is a very reliable source regarding Todd Phillips’ film. I reached out to Nerd Rage and they indicate they were shown actual proof regarding this information. They indicate that Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker will be a riddled drug addict and it is his addiction to drugs that will induce his insanity. They also go on to say that the Joker’s classic white face look will actually be cocaine smeared over his face. Somewhere someone just threw their phone or laptop across the room! Yes I know many of you will call this BS but this could be the route they want to go with this film since it is a stand alone film. This is all early in development so things could for sure change so take this all with a shovel full of salt.
