For someone who's been conspicuously absent from all the other games that's almost amusing if not strangely disturbing.

We need to contact Q then because I don't have time with my scheduale to make a mission brief....Also if you have it saved can you send it again? I need to brush up on it again. I'll try to make sure we get the ball rolling this weekend.

Ya well I was absent because of work related matter, ya know that thing that people with jobs have to deal with. And the GMs of this thread are regulars who frequent the threads daily, not to mention that when I left I made sure to put people in charge of handeling my affairs until I returned, I didn't just skip over a thread because I didn't feel like dealing with it, but thanks for you situation analysis, it was almost endearing.

No, the fact that this thread had less people actually depending on it cause some of us to put it on the back shelf while we juggle classes and work.

The Marvel, UDC and DC RPG's all had storylines in the works which people depended on us to finish. This one hadn't even really taken off; hence of the three RPG's this one was the one with the least pressure.

Do I want to play this one? Yes, absolutely. But I have to prioritize my time online and sadly since this one didn't have anyone depending on our immediate presence it was put on hold.

You want it done? Fine.

I'll do it tonight. I'll blow off due papers just to make people like you and Purple happy.

Lol, I wasn't calling for an imeadiate anything, but if you look at the date of which I tried to resurect this thread and had SO many people on board you'll see that alot of time has gone by. I just don't think that its cool to give people the idea that something as cool as this thread could actualy be in the works and that they can get out their creativity in its light, and then just not deliver a thing!

I'm not trying to sound demanding, I was just saying that I'd like to see this thing not ignored and if it is not possible to keep the thread alive than my alternative is a new thread with a similar aproach.

History of Earth in Universe 122

It is 20 years from the current DC Universe:

There’s the Justice League consisting of
Superman (Conner Kent),
Batman (Terry McGuiness),
Wonder Woman (Cassie Sandsmark-Kent),
Tempest (Garth),
Warhawk,
Green Lantern Kyle Rayner,
Star (ex-Star Spangled Kid),
The Flash (Bartholomew Allen),
Micron,
J’onn J’onzz, and Alpha Centauri (Orion’s angry son).

Bart Allen is now the Flash. Wally West has merged with the Speed Force and with that the spirits of Barry Allen, Jay Garrick, Wally West, Max Mercury, Johnny Quick, Savitar, and other super speedsters. Wally is now faster than anything and uses his powers to make his city of Central Keystone City run like clockwork. No crimes go unnoticed and Wally stops them all before they happen. Bart Allen is now the Flash and is super smart also, for his ability to retain information.

Micron was a scientist who developed a serum to help him change size and density. An African American, he is a new member to the Justice League.

J’onn J’onzz is now immune to fire but he prefers to stay in his Martian form. Still the same person he used to be, except for he has given up on having his own happiness, for he feels it’s impossible.

Alpha Centauri is the son of Orion, the king of Apokalips. He has developed his father’s anger while Orion has lost his own. Always quick to bring out the big guns, he is helped out by the rest of the Justice League.

Clark Kent has settled down with Lois Lane-Kent and has given up his days of being Superman, giving up the mantle to the ex-Superboy when the time was right. He has sired Martha Kent, who is the present Supergirl. Conner Kent is now charged with raising Supergirl and training her. Clark Kent is now the mayor of Metropolis.

Bruce Wayne is CEO of Wayne-Luthor Enterprises. Struck with a heart condition, he has offered the mantle of Batman to Dick Grayson, who refused. He then offered it to Tim Drake, who has given up the mantle of Robin.

Barbara Gordon is Commissioner of Gotham City Police Department, even though she is stuck in a wheelchair. Batgirl II is part of the Outsiders. She goes as Cain.

Selina Kyle has given birth to a son, the illegitimate son of Bruce Wayne. His name is Ted Kyle. He has taken up the name of Wildcat. What side he is on has yet to be answered.

Wonder Woman is Queen of the nation of Themyscira. She has given up her crime fighting ways and has taken up politics, often dealing with the present US President, Victor Spence. She is the only other monarch of the rest of the world, other than Atlantis. Cassie Sandsmark, princess of Themyscira, is now Wonder Woman.

Lex Luthor is now the richest man in the world. After Bruce Wayne gave up being Batman, Lex Luthor and LuthorCorp bought out Wayne Enterprises, making it Wayne-Luthor Enterprises. Bruce is now CEO of WLE.

Garth is now King of Atlantis after Aquaman’s death at the hands of AMAZO. Garth leads Atlantis with his wife Dolphin and his daughter Mera and his son Cerdian. Mera is part of the Titans. He has not been seen since the death of Aquaman and has receded into the heart of Atlantis. Only his wife and daughter and son have seen him since.

The Titans consist of:
Cyborg v.7.5 (the mind of Vic Stone),
Redfire (Arsenal and Starfire’s daughter, Olivia),
Aquagirl (Mera),
Starheart (Hal Jordan’s daughter, Carol),
Demon (Ibn al Xuffasch),
Kid Flash (Iris West), Midas, and Lyte.

Kyle Rayner has reconstructed the green Lantern Corps but he lives on Earth with his wife, Donna Troy. They both have a son, Troy Rayner, who is attending the Corps Academy on Oa under the tutelage of Hal Jordan. Hal’s daughter, Carol, is 13 and has natural Green Lantern powers. She goes by the name of Starheart while the current Green Lantern of Sector 2814 is Kyle Rayner, his trainee is a 21 year old girl named Lynn Carter. Kyle Rayner is part of the Justice League.

There is a team of villain hunters named the Outsiders. They are led by Cassandra Cain a.k.a. Cain. It consists of:
Metamorpho (Shift),
Cain,
Brute (Grace and Roy Harper’s illegitimate son, Rufus),
Batgirl IV,
Damage,
Crimson Wind, and Menagerie.

BnK..I went through my Old PM's and I have no idea what the 'mission' is all I found was what I've posted above.

Also does anyone else want to be a chosen or do they want to be an MRC?

You never put me incharge of the RPG until you returned, as I recall you put me incharge of updating the roster. I was neither notified that you would be leaving for a time or that it was left to me to "handle" the RPG.

Ok, so basically, all the character bios are open to interpreation... any changes to the character have to be okayed by the GMs...

and the mission is this:

Since Clark Kent is mayor of Metropolis, he's a interesting subject of tabloids. But sadly, it turns out, that a reporter has been tipped off that Clark Kent was once Superman. The story leaks out and it gets everywhere. Now Clark's old enemies want a shot at him and his family. Lex Luthor doesn't believe in this, feeling you can only attack a Super when he's in a suit, and kills some villains to show he means business. This causes a rift in the villains and they start fighting among each other, mainly oldies vs. newbies. The oldies side with Lex, as they respect and fear him, as the newbies, including Inque, Jokerz, etc. don't know who this old man really is.

The mission for the Multiversers is to quell the ongoing riots and make sure no one in Supes family is harmed.

Oh, and btw, there are artistic possibilities for banners, much like Marvel's Civil War. But who's on who's side? We can talk about it here in the ooc thread, and explain why someone would be on what side.

Remember, Lex believes secret identities are worthless, and has a little honor, and will only attack a cape when he's suited up. The opposition says screw it, hurt family and friends and kill him wherever whenever...

I don't recalling saying that I put you in charge, and yes I did put you in charge of updating the roster and by the by how long has it been? But when i make refrence to putting people in charge I mean having selected specific GMs and assigning certain tasks to ensure that WHENEVER I leave, if that be for a day, a week, a month, or a YEAR, I have people who have accepted the responsibilities of a GM and have promissed to ensure steadieness of the RPG.

Baby steps, people.

The best gardens start with small seeds that need two things: Tending and time.

Now is obviously not the time for this RPG. While there are those of us, myself included, that have the time to see this thing underway, there are those who do not.

We could either wait patiently for these people, or move on without them, hopefully finding new recruits to fill the gap. I'm sure no one wants to leave someone, or be left behind, so it seems that we will wait. Doing what we can here and there to keep the idea alive.

My brain is overflowing with ideas for this RPG, but now is not the time to break down the dam and let them flow.

Patience is the key.

Bullhocky you didn't leave anyone in charge. MB and I are the only active GM's.

Does it really matter who was in charge if nothing was getting done?

It's like leading an army without any soldiers, or a battle to fight.

....You've matured during your exile..O.O

Also I am more than willing to work and play in this RPG just dont' expect a post every day. This RPG has always moved slower, even in the beginning but the quality was always there.

I like to think of it as the 'gem' of the RPG's. Needing care and time. But that's just me :(

Mature? I don't know if I'd give myself that much credit. I've learned not to be so impulsive, and not to wear my heart on my sleeve. It's a long story that involves my ex girlfriend which I would not like to discuss at this time, suffice to say that I have learned a few things.

As opposed to the other RPGs this one takes the most work because there isn't any comic books that tell us how the characters should act. While some of the names, and concepts are similar to those in the comics, we take them in a totally different direction creatively. No continuity to tie into, no relationships we should uphold.

Almost anyone can play as Superman, but only you can play your version from Earth-56. Forming a unique bond between player and character, investing time and ideas toward your creation. This is why I have such high hopes for this RPG. It is something unique and wonderful.

I know it may sound a little taboo, but I think with the relatively small number of players currently involved that the GM system should be abolished for now, putting no one above or below anyone else. Go with a more knights of the round table approach, giving each person an equal voice in the goings on of the RPG.

....HA! The GM system for this RPG really has been abolished..all we ever do is fix the rosters. ;)

However once the plot/story line is laid out the one who came up with most of it is made 'GM' and guides the story.

That's how we've been doing it. So the title 'GM' shifts each mission.

Hmm, and here I am just assuming that it was like all the other RPGs.

Next I'll suggest giving Superman super strength.

I'll just keep my mouth shut until everyone is ready to get the ball rolling again. I really hope the best for this RPG, and if given the chance I have enough material to keep this thing going for a long time.

Am I the only one that never noticed that Power Girl has eyes?
She would be a great character for you in this RPG, Twy. Powergirl always had the multiverse feel to her.

Anyway, twy, there's a second part to that brief, isn't there? there were two pages...

Sounds good to me.

All we have to do is get some MRCs and another Chosen, right?

Yeah... it's pretty much ready... and since we don't have that much people, we can RP multiple characters, as we have done inthe past...

There are four categories of people:

Chosen

then there are three categories for the MRC's this mission:

Heroes
Lex's posse
New Villains

I think the last time I tried to join there wasn't any open Chosen spots.

If there is an open slot now, could I please reserve it? I haven't chosen a character yet. I'll have to go through my DC Dictionary and see what my brain can come up with.

So far a Solomon Grundy or a Firestorm type character comes to mind, something elemental maybe. I dunno. I'll come back when I have something more concrete.

Inque, Jokerz gang, Curare, anyone who's in the new age of villainy... and I guess some old villains who don't respect Luthor... but most do...
