"The Multiversers: Hypertime" Signup/OOC Thread

I'm confused by this RPG.
are we playing as existing people or made-up?

Multiverse Information

I know I'm not officially part of this rpg, but I was thinking that Lightning Lord, Cosmic King and Saturn Queen would make some good villains to face off against.

Or how about a world run by Black Adam? Or a world where every hero is a Green Lantern? I've had some ideas for that one.

Maybe a world run by Lex Luthor or Brainiac.

The Crime Syndicate of Amerika, White Martians, Amazo, Eclipso, they all would help make some interesting characters and/or worlds to visit.

I'd SO stop being a chosen for one mission if I could be Saturn Queen.

There are just so many great ideas for this RPG but so little time. It was created to be a smaller (and dare I say it more selective) RPG and it was for quite a while, however a few players never got the ball rolling and the GM's aren't really used to laying out the plot and then guiding the story along so it got bogged down.

We need to do a kind of 'clean house' deal and then see about revitalizing it so that it won't die again. The thing is that so many of the players are in other RPG's and this one was meant to be slower and also more in-depth when it came to characterization and interaction, so it got a little forgotten.

This is how it works:

The Chosen go to each Universe, trying to fix the place before the Collapse Point. There are characters in that given universe known as MRC's (Mission Related Characters) that are native to only that universe. They are necessary for the game and to have players play as them would be greatly appreciated.

Okay Our MRC dropped out (JRK) and so did SF. So we have a chosen opening AND an opening for a mission in general. I'd like to pick up one of P-Man's ideas and use that since they all sounded really cool.

Also a bit of background there should be some resentment and hostility with the roster change.

Twy, I'd love to play, but I've gotta confess to having a ton of doubts about this RPG. How many times must thread necromancy be exercised before an RPG is declared dead? I'm also very much a fan of fast moving plot lines, something that, to be frank, the Multiversers isn't.

So, I'd still love to play, but only if we actually, you know, play this time around.

I still have no clue what character I want to play, but if any of my ideas are chosen, I'd be more than willing to play a character or two from that world.

Also a couple more ideas for universes to visit.

A world run by Trigon and his daughter Raven who controls the emotions of every man, woman, and child.

A world where Jor-El was imprisoned by General Zod in the phantom zone. Stealing the plans for his rocket, Zod sent his own child to Earth in the hopes of conquering it. Later Kal-El is sent to Earth before Kryptons destruction, by his mother. The child of Zod gets lost in space ala Kara Zor-El, and Kal-El is raised by the Kents. After Superman makes his first appearence in Metropolis, the other rocket falls to Earth and is found by Lex Luthor, now with his own Superman to do his bidding.

Also a 'Planet of the Apes' world would be pretty cool. Maybe even have a 'Human City' where Human Grodd launches his attack on Gorilla kind.

Lol, its cool, I'm just giving you a hard time, I know how difficult GM responsibilities can be, take yer time.


And yes Trigger, I'm waiting until I can hammer out the details on Lucifers interaction with three differnt characters before I post, in fact I can't post as him until Victor Creed does because our stories conect. And Crimson Oath is taking some more time because I'm trying to nail down what we are doing on certain aspects of the RPG, I will probobly have a Lucifer post up before I have a CO post.

Universe/Timeline history*: This is 25 years removed from the current DC timeline. Bruce Wayne and unknown female have given birth to a young baby boy, who they name Terrence Thomas Wayne. But as the unknown mother's home gets attacked by villains unknown, Bruce Wayne leaves with the baby to take him into safety. Mother's whereabouts unknown, deceased (?). Using otherworldly power, memories of Bruce Wayne's wedding and baby are wiped from everyone who knows, except from the ex-member's of the Bat-Family, the mother if alive, and Clark Kent. Terrence goes into hiding, becoming the adopted son of Warren and Mary McGuiness.

History: Terry McGuiness has always grown up knowing he was different. His fast reflexes and peak human ability has allowed him to conquer any sport. Desperate for adventure, Terry resorted to the proverbial "robbing from the rich and giving to the poor", along with the guidance of his dojo master, Cassandra Cain. Along the way, he is picked up as an apprentice of Slade Wilson. Whether Wilson knew about Terry's past is not known, but he found out soon enough as he pitted father against son. Terry was forced to fight an older Bruce Wayne, who was fighting in a mechanized suit. Bruce lost, and after that Terry left Slade for a normal life. Then Bruce showed up. He began to train Terry as a new successor to the mantle, where, years later, he found out he was Bruce's son.

Skills: Extremely adept martial artist, trained by Cassandra Cain, Bruce Wayne, and Slade Wilson, reflexes make him almost superhuman

Powers (comparative to main DC Universe characters): Superstrength (comparative to Aquaman because augmented by the suit), Flight (augmented by suit), inhuman reflexes (like Deathstroke)

Hero, anti-hero, villain: hero

Oh, here's the universe idea for the upcoming mission... i'll expand on it the next chance I get...

oh, and for my character, i think Terry'll be trained by Rose instead of Slade, and instead of winning the battle against a mecha Bruce, he loses the battle.

No, you don't post as your character until said so by the GM's... since this RPG is very GM run... but when the mission starts, you can play as any MRC and start posting then... until then, you wait...

or you can come up with more ideas...
