I think I might go with an oversized V neck. Hopefully I can get a good thermal. I don't think they had separate pieces sewn together.

There's almost no collar near his neck because it's so big so I think an oversized V-neck would do it as the shirt is loosening over your torso.

Im just wearing a vest under my..vest lol.

The mask coloring looks alittle off, imo. Seems like the top parts are purple and the pipes are very light. Could be the lighting and camera!

Haha yea it's probably the lighting because the top of the mask is a very dark blue. The pipes are a very stale grey that is decently dark as well. I just want to mix the paint to give it a more weathered look or use something specific that will give it a weathered look.

hey Bane'z,

Finally finished painting up my JBrown Bane mask. I think its come up well after the 10 different bloody grey/green/blue's i went through lol

Perhaps a little bold still and a bit much weathering but hey, Im pretty chuffed for my first real painting effort :word: Peace!

very very good paint work... how did you paint the mask? acrylics?

Looks close. You would have to get, im figuring, 2 sizes bigger than what you normally wear to acheive the baggyness that it seems to have.

I went to sears and the lady said the shirts are really thin:( so I guess I gotta look for another shirt.

not sure if it's all that thick though.

If you look around the collar it doesn't seem that thick. As for the arms, it could be giving that impression due to it being so bunched up.

Thanks mate!! Yep all acrylics. Mineral blue, grey, graphite colors. Silver and copper for metals and gold for weathering.

I got an XXL, it should fit loose on me but I will just probably stretch the open V neck a bit more wide so it matches.

what color did you get?

I'm looking at a waffle patterned therma lon ebay thats brown.

Anyone have any tips for a second layer of paint on the JBrown mask? Not a big fan of my first layer at all and some of it is cracking because I didn't thin the paint at all and probably used too much. First time painting anything like this and I'm strugglin'

Also, not sure how to properly thin it. Everything I've looked up has been very vague or non-helpful

Strange. I just mixed acrylic with acrylic til I got the colours I wanted then brushed away. I went semi-thick on the coat and went over about twice. Used no water.

edit - I did do another layer the next day but that way purely to tweek the colour, had no problems with cracking. Perhaps is how you are brushing it/thickness of the brush.

I realized today the paint bottle said shake well before use and I definitely didn't do that so maybe that affected it.
