WOW mate, you are so lucky, the real mask? who would not love to get that!!!? I'm so jelous

I would kill for the real mask, He sent me a ton of pics from the production of the mask in his studio. Some of the info I can divulge is they made roughly 30 masks, 10 hero and 20 stunt. The colors where set into the mask and there were 3 different colorways of the mask for different shots. Also the masks were not foam Latex they were a harder version of urethane AND the big secret is the masks had a set screw on the sides of the mask where the metal pieces start and opened up for easy on and off (think iron man faceplate) only the top strap was still attached.

and I forgot to say the black coat was identified on the RPF its a Belstaff Trialmaster and retails for about $699 http://www.thekingofcool.com/Images/Products/XLarge_Images/BEL007B_1.jpg

You see that makes perfect sense. In some pics of the "real" masks you can see themask having troubles and "detaching"

EDIT: my apologies for double posting, my mistake

BTW, Rdmaul, the jacket by Mysterynigma looks more "real" if you check the neck of yours, is quite different to the poster, and also the detail on the shoulders, and the golden buttons are just where they are supposed to be.

Also, 1/10th of the price!
Lol. :D

I'm telling you guys its the Belstaff, they modified it for the film just like they did I am Legend. Banes coat doesnt have side zippers on the front like "His" plus Banes has two buttons each pocket unlike his has 1 huge button, they hid the buttons on the Original Jacket. If you want 100% accuracy youll get the Belstaff if you want cheaper youll get his plain and simple

Oh, they modified it....well that is why i see some differences then. Im not criticizing your "taste" Rdmaul hehe I know you are a connoisseur..xD Btw, witch jacket you "NEED"? the black one or the shearling one?

Yeah someone else a while back said exactly what your saying now and I'm almost positive it's the same jacket. I think he also said he talked to the manufacturer and they said it was modified as well with an extended collar and hidden buttons.

As for the mask news that's amazing! Are you gonna try to make the mask yourself or have someone do it? Also did he say what the pipes were? I would be intreasted in your boots the only problem is I'm honestly a little hesitant in wearing my costume ever again (unless I go to comic con again) in light of recent events and my city doesn't have many opportunities to wear it again aside from movie premieres

I NEED both actually lol. I am going to order the Banepants one most likely BUT Logans Closet will be selling a 100% screen accurate version for ALOT of money, I just cant seem to bring myself to paying for it.

I wasn't trying to disagree or argue, just noticed it and thought it would be a good choice for people who don't have a lot of money but still want something semi-close. I WISH I could spend $700 on a costume coat. :(

Well you may if you get me my Vest! lol
Btw, Logan's closet is cool but, apparently they don't upgrade that page enough, right? Or maybe is just the page dunno

Bread I have a friend making the mask and there will be one other making it too as for the pipes they were made of resin he didnt divulge the materials/pieces used to mold them.Yeah I am saving this costume for Comicon and other stuff around here in AZ. I agree about the hesitation BUT I am not going to let one wack job ruin this for me, I am very stubborn and I find it more of a tribute to wear it again. I will let you guys know when I sell the boots.

That's awesome man you're in a position and have an opportunity a lot of in would kill for keep us updated man! And if you don't mind me asking where did you run into the guy at? I mean what are the chances.

And it really does suck that movie premieres are gonna be a lot stricter about masks/costumes. I heard AMC has already banned face obscuring masks. The worst part about all of this is that the guy wasn't even in a costume, just full on tactical/military gear. I actually had a guy on reddit point out how similar my costume was to what the shooter wore. Not sure what he was insulating or what he was trying to say but it was rather annoying.

Also, I had to do some repainting on my bane mask, and I wanted to give some quick advice for those who have to do the same(mine is a gcfx):
1.acetone works wonders at removing the old paint while leaving the primer intact(was told this by gcfx)
2. Liquitex makes a water based polyurethane aerosol paint sold exclusively at Michaels for about 12 dollars a can, was dry within 10 minutes and still retained flexibility. So far, it's worked wonders.

I was at the Batmobile display at SDCC waiting on my Batman to show up for some pictures and he came up to me wanting a pic with me in costume. Then he says "wanna see something cool?" I was like "Oh no, a crappy costume pic" no he shows me this picture of a mask and says "Thats the real mask" I am like "As in the one Tom Hardy wore?" He says " I made it" I almost pooped my pants. We talked for about 20 minutes about the mask and we exchanged numbers and contact info. He was a super awesome dude and told me my costume was friggin amazing, he said he saw the real one on set (Stock market scene) and my costume was so close it was scary.

Personally and I say this with a lot of respect. Ban the mask and/or costumes from a movie theather is not ridiculous but incredible stupid. Is there a Dress Code now? This is cohertion in its pure form. To dress the way you want is a legitimate right, no one should have anything to say about how you dress, specially for the wrong reasons.

This is absurd as want to ban the car brand of the vehicle this assassin took to get to the theater just cause this maniac used it or something like that. What you need is reinforce security and stop punishing people that just want to have a good time. I hope i don't get ban fro saying this lol

That is really awesome man, truly incredible. I actually had suspicions about it not being one piece a while back when this pic was released.

As you can see his ears are exposed so that got me thinking that it had some kind of system to remove it easier than having to pull it on and off over your head (which I'm sure would take it's toll on Tom and the mask. Especially with how tight it looks).

Actually where his ears are showing is where the set screw attachs up to the back of the mask

Yeah now that you've pointed it out it makes a lot more sense but at the time I mean no one had any idea lol. You can actually tell that the side portions are hanging off.

RDMAUL, I've sent you a PM regarding a Catwoman replicate mask. I have not yet seen anybody done a decent screen accurate of it. The ones only are not satisfying :(

Only Hugo585's friend had one that was ok, but he has only 1 post and I don't think he's coming back. At least he has not answered my PM :|

Hey guys i've been following this forum for some time now but just signed up. My question is i'm REALLY looking for a really good Bane mask and would like to know where i could get one at or who i could get one made from. GCFX's is ok, but im looking for one with more detail.
