'On Leather Wings' has the darkest looking animation of the series, IMO. Even scenes in day time look dark. Loved it.

Tell me about it, I tried my hardest to brighten up those gifs. lol

Words cannot express the epicness that is this show .

I agree. I also love how the show's art does justice to the dark tone of Batman but also has that classic WB animation feel. The art is classic WB cartoon art from the 80's and 90's.

I watched The Man Who Killed Batman last night. Really good episode.

I loved Catwoman/Selina Kyle more in BTAS than in the revamp TNBA. I found her to be more of a sultry tantalizing woman . Also the character design figure with that costume was prefect.

I think the general consensus is, more often than not, BTAS designs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> TNBA designs.

"Dear friends. . .Today is the day that the clown cried. And he cries not for the passing of one man, but for the death of a dream. The dream that he would someday taste the ultimate victory over his hated enemy. For it was the Batman who made me the happy soul I am today.

How I agonized over the perfect way to thank him for that. Perhaps with a cyanide pie in the face. Or an exploding whoopie-cushion playfully planted in the Batmobile.

But those dreams were dashed by the weaselly little gunsel sitting there in our midst. The cowardly insignificant gonif who probably got lucky when Batman slipped on the slime trail this loser left behind him. This mound of diseased hyena filth who's not fit to lick the dirt from my spats. . . ! But I digress. The time for sorrow has passed. It's time to look to a future filled with smiles. And I'll be smiling again just as soon as we take that man there and slap him in that box there and roll him into that vat of acid there!

. . . Well that was fun! Who's for Chinese?" - The Joker

Heh, yeah, that last part always makes me laugh. :hehe:

A lot of the TNBA designs were pretty bad, but I prefer the revamped Catwoman over the original.

Man, I remember being 6 and excitedly watching the prime time premiere of "On Leather Wings". Blew my little mind.

I prefer the original. The original looked like Catwoman. The TNBA one was more like Catgirl. She was so much smaller than Bats.

Was anybody really sold on the Bruce/Barbara relationship in MOTB? I thought it was out of place. I estimate she was 23-25 by this time and Bruce was like early 30s. Either way Dick and Barbara all the way.

Sorta but Babs had a thing for Bruce so it isn't completely out of left field.

And the best part? Mark Hamill still knows it.

I really love Poison Ivy's design though, they made her look a lot sexier.

i think scarecrow's redesign was better, it looked alot more menacing

I hated this design and still do, she was lot sexier in BTAS. Also the Timm and co forgot to give Joker green hair and red lips...

I never liked it, looks too much Jessica Rabbit to me. With the red hair, the lips, the shape of the face, eyes, the low cut top..

Why does she look like she's from the 40's when she was created in the 60's?

It's a shame TNBA Scarecrow was on for about 1 or 2 episodes.

Yeah, I think there's only so many fear toxin stories they can tell before it becomes cripplingly redundant, and must of those were already told in TAS.

Bane had a greater design in TNBA, as well. I wonder what Man-Bat would have looked like.

I liked all the Scarecrow designs, and especially that his costume changed regularly throughout the show.
