They gave Singer all the freedom he wanted, he was supposed to be Superman's Nolan, and it came back to bite them in the ass. I really doubt they would risk it again.WB's need to realise they dont know whats best. Look at Batman & Robin I mean yeah luckily Batman Begins andt he Dark Knight came off the back of that but they nearly destroyed the Batman franchise. All they care abouts is selling merchandise off the back of these films if they're so bothered by the toys they sell they should just do a Superman and Legion of Superheroes movie I bet the kids parents would shell out tons on the toys they would make from that. Surely they realise with the freedom they have given Nolan on Batman, Superman would benefit from having its own Nolan.

Spider-Man: Turn off the DarkRaimi should direct a musical with his 'raindrops keep falling on my head', Jazz Club dance scene and street strutting scenes are anything to go by.
Honestly, I think most of the suits just flip out and see $$$ signs when a crazy pitch is handed to them...Proof?? Look at Burton's mess of a film that almost was..who in their right mind would greenlight that junk unless they knew ZERO, nada, about the character. They have to know when to butt out though thats all Im saying. I really hope they have interests in making a great film and not just a great toyline.

I would bet that most, but not all, of the suits know the very bare minimum about not only superman, but all the DC characters. That is a scary thought.
You re right, but as of late most of DC's comic book writers have taken advisory roles for the movie projects. I even heard that they'll plan a big strategy about their future movies.Honestly, I think most of the suits just flip out and see $$$ signs when a crazy pitch is handed to them...Proof?? The DC Comics crossover that you've been waiting for in Green Lantern isn't happening after all. And we're wondering if this has anything to do with the ongoing superhero director shakeup in Hollywood. Could Raimi be helming Superman's next film?
Not surprised by the cameo in GL getting yanked, frankly. Then again, I'll be surprised when and if GL actually starts filming...
As for Raimi tackling Superman...meh. I liked the first Spidey movie, but I could barely get through the second one.
haha would be funny notfadeaway
