E3 2018 announcement incoming?

The domain name DevilMayCry5.com was registered on May 17 by an unknown entity under the Onamae domain registrar, according to the domain’s Whois record.




Onamae is the same registrar used by Capcom for its MonsterHunterWorld.com (Whois) and ResidentEvil7.com (Whois) domain names.




The domain names DevilMayCry6.com (Whois), DevilMayCry8.com (Whois), and DevilMayCry9.com (Whois) were also registered under Onamae. The domain name DevilMayCry7.com (Whois), however, is already registered by a separate entity. The DevilMayCry5.com domain is on different name servers than the rest of the domains.


The domain name ResidentEvil2.com (Whois), which Capcom has owned since 1997, was also updated on April 22. Visiting the domain displays an “OK” message. However, that message has been there since as far back as May 2017.


With E3 2018 set to run from June 12 to 14 in Los Angeles, it may be possible that Capcom is preparing websites for the oft-rumored Devil May Cry 5 and the 2015-announced Resident Evil 2 remake.

I believe the rumor was that Dante, Vergil and Nero would all be around and playable.

The the things we know of DMC5 came from ResetEra, but now....two things were crossed out of the leaks.

The game taking place in a city, and Nero being Virgil's son. So maybe those are no longer true? I swear they weren't crossed out a few days ago.

I am ****ing so hard right now. Literally waited 10 years for this game. I haven't buought many games for my PS4 in a long time, and the only 2 games I will get is DMC5 and MGR2. One down!

That DMC5 trailer really got me, I thought I was looking at reboot Dante a year or so after getting the promise of a sequel to the original series.

This might be a direct sequel to Devil May Cry 2 and Dante is coming back from the dimension he trapped himself in.

Isn't part 4 a prequel to part 2? I think it goes chronologically something like this:

1. Devil May Cry 3
2. Devil May Cry
3. Devil May Cry the Anime
4. Devil May Cry 4
5. Devil May Cry 2 (ends with Dante trapped in the demon dimension)
6. Devil May Cry 5

Yeah this is a sequel to DMC4 without a doubt.

I thought in order to ever avoid addressing it, it's eternally the last part of the franchise. So if we get another 4 sequels after this, DMC 2 would still chronologically be the last entry in the series. XD

He's not. You can play as Dante, Nero and the Mysterious V. Can't imagine who he is.

Either way. This is clearly a sequel to 4, as this is all about picking up where that left off.

I want a threeway of playable characters for DMCV where you play as Nero Dante & Virgil, depending on the story mission.

Oh and i want a minimum of 40+ of single player playthrough.
