There. For those of you complaining that they've aged up too many of the villains, at least Jonathan Crane will apparently be close in age to Bruce.

For me, that's too bad. Scarecrow, IMO could easily be older than Bruce. I wanted to see Jonathan Crane as a grad student or intern at Arkham or something.

Is anyone else sick of the General Discussion thread constantly being about ratings??

For anyone who cares about the success of this show, ratings are extremely relevant.

And there are other threads here if you want to discuss something...

I'm almost worried that last night's episode was so good that people are gonna be disapponted if the restbof the season doesn't conrinue and build upon that momentum.

I expect one or two episode down the road that will feature the murder of Wayne's parent again and wrapped up that storyline! My guess it will close to the end of the season as it usually is with conspiracy/murder plots

But in some ways, the most impressive drama success story this season may be Fox’s Gotham. Unlike the fall’s other drama hits, the DC Comics–produced fantasy-procedural, which kicks off Fox’s lineup Mondays at 8, didn’t have the advantage of launching behind an established show. It also began its existence airing opposite the biggest shows on both NBC (The Voice) and CBS (which aired original and rerun episodes of The Big Bang Theory on Mondays during the first month of the season). And yet despite these disadvantages, Gotham’s under-50 audience is second only to Murder among freshman dramas. It’s pulling nearly the same numbers as the Peacock’s blockbuster Blacklist, and its demo numbers are better than any drama (new or old) on CBS. Fox may have had a near-disastrous start to the fall season, but Gotham is shaping up to be a very shiny silver lining.

Fox Mon at 8 is one of the few timeslots where a net is dramatically better off now than 4 years ago.

Gotta admit, wasn't really feeling it at first but now I think they're really hitting their stride. Monday's episode was really good. Very interested to see where they will be taking us for the rest of the season

I agree completely with this. Wasn't really feeling it so much, but the story seems to have turned a corner.

Up to episode 3. Really liking it so far, loving Penguins craziness

Jada Smith is the only downside, she does okay for the most part but has the annoying te fancy to overact

I’ve been watching the new GOTHAM television series since the first episode, and I’m a confirmed fan. I’m hard to please with Batman filmed stuff, so if I’m on board, they’re doing something right.
There are those who are missing the point of the series, though….and after a half dozen episodes, I feel I’m enough of an expert that I can explain to one and all…

Interesting how me and a friend have been discussing how Lord Taylors incarnation of Penguin is quite different with his random psychopathis acts of violence and all.

His actions seem more like the types of acts the Joker would do.....plus he how much he "hates" being called Penguin.

We wouldn't be all too surprised if this "Penguin" does turn out to be the Joker as the show progresses. Would be a heck of a twist!

I don't see it... to me it's a new cool version of the Penguin. However if it does happen, I would be extremely disappointed.

I think it's dumb too be close minded about it. I wouldn't pooh pooh on the theory or the idea. All depends on execution. Dumb twist to the fanboys or the general TV audience? Hmm....
