The schedule for Gotham has now been confirmed.

Gotham airs its 11th episode 28 Nov. After that the show goes into a small break and airs a 3-episode arc starting 16 Jan and ending 30 Jan. Then it'll go on another break after which the final 8-episode arc will air in the Spring, starting at a date yet to be announced.

Of special note is that this is planned by the writers. The third season was consciously divided into three arcs.

‘Gotham’s Morena Baccarin To Star In NBC Legal Drama From Tony Krantz, Ken Sanzel

Baccarin is doing the project with the blessing of Gotham producer Warner Bros. TV. She will leave the Fox drama as a regular only if her NBC project goes to series, in which case she will continue on Gotham as a recurring.

The cast is so big at this point, I feel like they could get away with using her once every 2-3 episodes and it wouldn't seem out of the ordinary.

The cast is so big at this point, I feel like they could get away with using her once every 2-3 episodes and it wouldn't seem out of the ordinary.

Frankly her storyline is so stale at the moment, the less we see her the better. Having her be in more episodes than David and Camren is a crime against humanity.

Ever heard of the concept of Women in Refrigerators? It means the ways that female characters are treated as merely a device to move a male character's story arc forward, rather than as a fully developed character in her own right.
It refers to an incident in Green Lantern #54 (1994), in which Kyle Rayner, the title hero, comes home to his apartment to find that his girlfriend, Alexandra DeWitt, had been killed by the villain Major Force and stuffed into a refrigerator.
The Gotham writers are just following this not very proud tradition of how female comic book characters are treated.

The Mad Hatter has been the best part and one of the better cast villains. The other stuff, like Penguin falling in love with Nygma, Ivy returning, or Bruce looking into the Court of Owls, less so.

‘Gotham’: James Remar To Recur As Frank Gordon

James Remar (The Path) is heading to Gotham City. The Dexter alum has been tapped to play Frank Gordon, Jim’s (Ben McKenzie) uncle, on the current third season of Fox’s Batman origin series.

Frank Gordon is a master at playing both sides and a man who knows how to keep a secret. Frank abandoned the family after Jim’s father’s fatal car crash and now, 25 years later, he’s returned to reconnect with his estranged nephew. But Frank harbors a dark secret, one that will upset the very foundations of Jim’s world and force him into a terrible choice between saving his family and saving his city.

And I think Mario's band-aid in Red Queen was a hint to the blood thing. Maybe.

Still not sure how he got affected, though maybe we'll find out next episode if we're lucky.

He's literally the only thing that can save this show at this point.

I honestly think that Season 3 has been really solid so far, but he definitely needs to come back soon. Sean Pertwee (Alfred) did say earlier this year that Jerome would make his return around Episode 14, and we're right around that time.

 

[Wildcard]

I can't really agree there. In one season, they've ruined Penguin, brought back Ms. Kringle as another character just to off her again, made Edward into a total idiot, upgraded Pamela's age and hired a horrible actress to portray her, etc. etc.

The only solid portions have come from the Mad Hatter & Barnes. So with that said I really hope what Sean about Jerome returning around episode 14 is true. This show desperately needs him back.
