Agreed. He is ~way~ too big here. He's so big he starts to lose the ability for believable human interaction.

But I *love* how they captured the essence of the Hulk. In a way, he's more of a hero than anyone else there, because he sincerely has a sense of right and wrong and protects the truly innocent--i.e. the puppy. I love that!
I would love for that to shine through in The Avengers...a scene in which they see the one they call a monster is really not...and, perhaps, they have acted a bit monstrously in hunting/judging him...so that the general audience sees the Hulk that we know, not the Hulk that they've been shown a couple times in the past.

Back when they were saying The Incredible Hulk was going to combine the TV show and the comics, I kept saying "We need a scene with Jack McGee and Rick Jones!" We got McGee & Jim Wilson instead.

I like to think Louis Leterrier did it on purpose just to mess with me.

I'm very happy that Hulk will speak in this movie, and I hope he dishes out sentences instead of simple one liners like Hulk Smash or Hulk angry. Hulk speaking can bring out to things to the Hulk character: comedy gold and an endearing quality to the monster.

haven't been keeping up in the last couple months. so im just wondering if we will see the hulk fight ironman in his hulkbuster armor? the end of TIH we see tony offer help to ross. so i think when avengers starts we should see tony going after the hulk on shield's behalf. then finding out the hulk is not a monster.

im really hoping for the hulk controlled by loki story though.

What preparations have you been doing up until now?
I’ve been working with [director/co-writer] Joss Whedon quite a bit on developing it, my portion of it. I’ll be working with Robert Downey, and I’m already doing the motion capture stuff. I’m excited.
So you are performing both parts of the Hulk, the human and the digital monster?
Yeah, I’m the first actor to do both. It’s really cool. I was surprised by how well my theater training played into the motion capture thing, because it’s all your imagination. When he moves across the ground, I want him using all fours, using his arms as much as his legs to move from here to there. I’d like to capture some of the primitive aspect of him.
Do you see him as a kind of hunched, gorilla-type?
Not so much hunched, but the low center of gravity, and the flailing of the arms sometimes.
I assume you’ve seen concept art of how he’ll turn out. What does he look like?
He looks just like me, but bloated and green. And big! He looks like me 40 pounds ago. [Laughs]
You are luckiest of The Avengers. You could hang out and eat ice cream all day, while they all have to pump iron to stay muscular.
It’s not a bad deal! The more of a difference there is between Mark and the Hulk, the happier everyone seems to be. Still gutted Norton isnt coming back, but I really hope they dont change Hulk's appearance from TIH as I liked that look. Agreed on Thor, cant wait to see it, but the green goliath is the one I am waiting to see more of.

Same here, didnt like the walking on all four mention at all, and I was hoping they would keep the same look as TIH as not only was it a good design, but it would be in continuity.
