im still hoping its a talking hulk, more hulk less banner in avengers would be nice.

Yeah alot of people want Banner to have a large involvement in the Avengers, but I would like to see Hulk have the spotlight a bit more.

I say that because if you think about it, both Hulk films were basically Bruce Banner film with Hulk poppin up every now and then.

If Loki does somehow control the Hulk in the beginning of the movie, I get the feeling that the Hulk will gain some intelligence as a result. Al least that's what I'm hoping for. I would LOVE to here "Hulk is the strongest one there is" directed at Loki as the Hulk brakes Loki's hold over him. GEEK GASIUM!

Hulk should be a hero. It makes sense that the team will have to "rangle" him in at the beginning of the film, but after that he should be side by side with the other three as they smash their way through Loki and the Skrulls.

Yeah, I don't mind seeing them fight in the beginning, especially if it means Tony has to bring out his Hulkbuster armor, but I also want to see Banner interact with the rest of the team and Hulk help to save the day.

That's what I'm saying ..... Having a fully conversational Hulk just won't come off right. Not to mention they have a limit to how many times the dude can be rendered in CGI. I'd rather get a handful of memorable lines and judging by Whedon's wit, I'm sure we'll get it.

ok so many stated that we cant have everything tossed into one movie...character development, already introduced characters to handle and introduce n ew ones will be hard enough to satisfy everyone .....
having the hulk talking or not...being intelligent or more like caveman are things to tryout in the comics....i think ...
because there are so many possibilities and so many books printed...but there will be one avengers movie maybe, a second, a third... who knows ...
we had two hulk movies and a tv show...animated films each had a different aproach.....aint that enough...? i mean no!!!! there will be more...but not in these movies so far....
they have to experiment but not that much...

Basically Whedon may just play him as a moody child, who has tantrums and does that whole silent treatment thing when he's pissed, but talks on occasion when he feels he has something to say. The best way I could describe it is like Momoa's character from Stargate Atlantis who was in like every scene, but spoke maybe like two or three times an episode and usually just responded or reacted to stuff with facial expressions or sarcastic looks.

As much as I want hulk talking more, I could live with this. I imagine a scenario where the big three are arguing about something with hulk just standing there looking dumbfounded, then he gets annoyed, gives a huff and just stomps off.

It's not about talking to much, its simply about giving Hulk characterization if he's going to be on a team with other heroes and an ally. He's lacked major characterization and been too light and one note in the previous films.

Specifically, the duality of Hulk and Banner and Hulk being aware of Banner and resenting him. We haven't gotten that.

True, I just don't think we've had the chance to see hulk like this in a movie yet, hes really only been a two toned monster, being angry and sad.

And that was one of the better parts of the movie unfortunately it was way too little. This is why Ang Lee failed with The Hulk.

Hehe. Ronan Dex(Jason Momoa's character on Stargate Atlantis) is a great way to think how Hulk would be like in a team environment onscreen.

I remember Ferrigno recently said he would voice him in The Avengers, but this new interview with Mark makes me think that Mark voices him.
