I didin't mention it, but I did notice it and if that toy is accurate then Hulk's size is spot on this time around.

Not that I had a problem with the "ripped" Hulk in TIH, because I was pleased with that size as well.
Its about time. Maybe he can fit in a room now.

That's what I'm thinking too. Lou confirmed his involvement but it was way before the movie even had a director iirc. Plus I remember Mark saying a ways back in an interview that as the Hulk, "I have a few lines" so digitally altered is what I'm leaning toward.
Do we really need Lou to voice the Hulk. Come on. Ruff with altered voice would be perfect.

The thing I love about that clip is how Spidey contributes jack squat nothing to the fight.

I hate the Hulks size in that clip. Were they trying to match Ang Lee's 15 ft Hulk?

Around the time of Ang Lee's Hulk, it seemed that lots of Hulk fans were of the impression that 15ft was how tall Hulk should normally be! I remember seeing in people's Marvel Legends collections fans thinking that the normal regular 8" Hulk was too short and that they wanted one which was the size of Marvel Legends BAF Giant Man.

IMO, I thought that the size of the Hulk in Ang Lee's version when he first beats up Talbot and jumps out of the house, was perfect-about 10 feet tall. Hulk getting as tall as he eventually did made it start to seem a bit silly. I've always dreamed of seeing The Hulk and Thing throwdown in a movie, and that would be possible with a 10 foot tall Hulk. From what I've heard, the Thing will be CGI this time around in the FF4 reboot. I've always dreamed of seeing those two throwdown on the big screen, but that probably won't ever happen as long as Fox has the FF4 rights. It would be awesome to see though.

This movie's success is consolidated on fan's wet dreams coming true. Lou will help. It might be pointless and unnecessary but I also consider fan's wet dreams coming true pointless and unnecessary.

I'll tell you what size was truly absurd: The Thing being the very shorttest of all Fantastic Four.

Now a days Giant-Man is the ficken the size of Godzilla because of the Ultimates line. Giant-MAN is around 15 to 20 feet tall. The Hulk should only be eight-foot max. Otherwise you run into all other problems with him, when it comes to clothing staying on and him being able to fit in different rooms. I would prefer a 7 foot Hulk. People don't seem to take into account that the Hulk is very Very wide. Which makes up for the need to go taller. It seems like in the Marvel movies bigger is better. Look at the Destroyer in the Thor movie. He was way too tall compared to the comic book. The Lizard in the new Spiderman movie. From the dark scene image looked extremely large in my opinion. And maybe around eight-foot also. Which is way too big. It's almost like Hollywood and Marvel are doing it because they can. Especially the directors that don't quite get it.

I agree Hulks size at the beginning of the movie was okay. Still a little big for me though. I also agree that the Thing was way too small in the Fantastic Four movie. I can also see a problem with the Thing as cgi trying to fit inside the Baxter Building. But I would prefer at least a 7ft Thing.

TIH's hulk was the perfect height IMO.

Spot on, both Hulk and Thing need to be more realisticly sized on film. What they did with the bodysuit for thing was cool, but he was way too small. I also think that the audince starts having a much more difficult time identifying with Hulk when he starts getting the size he was by the end of Ang's hulk. The Hulk is Banner's repressed rage and ego gone crazy, but he's still Banner, and I think that Whedon wants to focus on that, given the new Hulk looking so much like Ruffalo. Hulk was inspired by Dr. Jeckyle and Mr Hyde, and I think that is the direction they are steering the charachter back to. Ang's Hulk was banners inner child, and that's the way he came off, as a giant child throwing a tantrum. Norton's Hulk was more accurate to the classic Hulk. I hope we will be getting a cross between The Green Scar and Joe Fixxit in the Avengers movie.

Even 8 ft is pretty tall. It might be okay in Hulk's own movies, but when he has to consistently interract with other heroes and characters, he needs to be of a relatable size. 7 ft, or 7 and a half foot should be the max. It shouldn't be a height difference similar to what there is between the Avengers and Giant Man, that's for sure.

They have confirmed that the new Hulk tv series will use the same cgi template that they are using in the movie, so we at least know he won't be 15 feet tall. I'm guessing he will be a little less taller than Norton's Hulk by a foot or 2, but we shall see.

I don't know if Ben needs to be that tall but he should at least clearly be the tallest member of the FF(which he wasn't in the movies) and then have the impressiveness of his size be moreso attributed to his girth(which like Hulk, is of superhuman proportions). In the comics, isn't Grimm basically about 6 & 1/2ft tall or Thor/She-Hulk's height? I know he's slightly shorter than Hulk.

Yep Grimm has usually been portrayed as about a foot or 2 shorter than the Hulk. I think a 9-10 foot tall Hulk and a 7 foot Thing would work out well on film.

To me 9ft tall is too tall for Hulk(let alone 10 ft.). It's all about him being able to interact with regular sized people in different enviroment(like indoors). His impressive size to me has always come from his girth rather than his height. Grimm's the same way, just 6 inches to a foot shorter.

I personally wouldn't ever wish the Hulk to be more than 8 feet tall at the upper limit. And if he's Joe Fixit then he's basically the exact same size as Grimm.

I just whipped out my copy of Ultimates, and was reminded of something that Ruffalo said- that this version of the Hulk would be more " Ape-ish" I hope that doen't mean that he'll be portrayed hunched over and dragging his knuckles like he was in Ultimates.

You can just look at the drawing they released at comic-con in July to see what he means. Hulk in that banner does look a bit more ape-like, especially in the face with the small nose and such. Of course he had a similar face in TIH but they made his lower half(of the rest of his body) a bit too small compared with his upper half, IMO. He was more like Mr. Incredible's proportions(pre-retirement).

If I had my wish Grimm 6 & 1/2ft tall & Hulk 7 ft. I agree with the girth issue.

IMO too often they give him a bodybuilder's physique and it's a lingering remnant of Ferrigno playing him in the 70's. But as I recall, only the Professor was like that in the comics. Hulk usually was portrayed as a thick block of muscle from head to toe, not a giant green Mr. Olympia. Thor & Cap are more in that mold.

Hulk's a tanker as is Grimm. IMO, they look best when portrayed that way and I'm glad that's how he looked in that promotional banner from SDCC'11. It IS more ape-like....than looking like Arnold Schwartzenegger in his prime. And that's a good thing I think.

It does make more sense to have Hulk look thicker and more Kirby-esque than to have him look like a bodybuilder with a giant v taper as in the last movie.

Like this :wow:

Hulk didn't look nearly that ape-like in the Ultimates. His face was still relatively flat rather than out-streched as that one is.

I have a feeling they mean more like the original Kirby Hulk.
