Hulk didn't look nearly that ape-like in the Ultimates. His face was still relatively flat rather than out-streched as that one is.

Yes, that. Which IS more ape-like than the bodybuilder Hulk we've seen. One of the few things I'll give the character design in AngHulk over TIH was having him seem less bodybuilder-ish. Of course IMO they went too far and he often looked kinda chubby which is a no-no as well.

In Earth X, the Banner and Hulk personalities are seperated, so Banner is a little boy, that rides around on the ape-hulk's shoulders. In the Ultimates, he was ape-ish in as much as he had long gorilla like arms, and often hunched over and rested his weight on his knuckles.

In the comics, isn't Grimm basically about 6 & 1/2ft tall or Thor/She-Hulk's height? I know he's slightly shorter than Hulk.

Ben's official comic height is six feet even.

To me 9ft tall is too tall for Hulk(let alone 10 ft.). It's all about him being able to interact with regular sized people in different enviroment(like indoors). His impressive size to me has always come from his girth rather than his height. Grimm's the same way, just 6 inches to a foot shorter.

I personally wouldn't ever wish the Hulk to be more than 8 feet tall at the upper limit. And if he's Joe Fixit then he's basically the exact same size as Grimm.

I think 9ft is a great height for Hulk, the tallest human is 8'5" and I think Hulk should be taller than any human (he shouldn't be the height of basketball players).

I never got the feeling that he was "too tall" to interact with humans, in TIH's cave scene Hulk's interaction with Betty was perfectly fine. He also didn't look all that tall compared to Tim Roth in the campus battle and he's only like 5'8".

Then we saw two different movies. The Hulk in this picture looks 12 feet tall and he isn't even standing up straight. Betty was as tall as his back while he was sitting down.

Looks perfect to me, I don't see a problem at all.

Now put Captain America, Iron Man & Thor next to that Hulk and they will look tiny. It just won't work. I think Joss noticed that and shrank the Hulk as much as he could for this very reason. Marvel should have never let the directors run wild with how THEY felt the Hulk should look. But in the end its about money & having a Mighty Joe Young sized Hulk is what they thought would sell.

I didn't think about him having to interact with the team. It wouldn't work if Hulk was too large. So we are probably getting what, maybe an 7-8 foot Hulk? Whedon knows his creatures and how to portray them well from all the years of Buffy.

Well Cap (6'1"), Thor (6'4"), and Iron Man (between 6'2" -6'4" in armor) are all much taller than Tim Roth, besides they should look tiny compared to him since he IS the Hulk.

Like I said earlier, it's all a matter of personal opinion.

I went back and looked at the pic of the new Hulk figure, and if it's to scale with the other Avenger figures, then it looks like they made him about 7 feet tall.

Hulk should just be about 2 feet taller than the next tallest Avenger, Thor. If you go by that TIH pic he'd be about 4 foot taller and that's to much imo.
