Hiddleston said Thor is the toughest Avengers for Loki to fight, so I don't think Hulk's going to beat him.

I'm one of the people who consider Thor and Hulk to be fairly even, but Loki isn't someone who you can fight with strength alone because it's not like he's gonna stand and trade blows with Hulk. I'm not saying Thor is better than the Hulk, he just has a wider range of powers making him more suitable for someone as diverse as Loki.

Loki is one of those characters who would teleport Hulk across the galaxy to end the fight. He would know that Hulk on his own has no real way to just pop back and start beating him to a pulp.

Thor would do just that.

Pretty much. In a straight up slobber knocker, Hulk owns. But Loki isn't stupid enough to trade blows with him. Thor has more variety when it comes to fights. Which is rarely used these days though.

I think that Loki having the cosmic cube on his staff, will necessitate the whole team working together to take him down.

I can't believe that I didn't think of this example before, but when it comes to seeing on how I'd like to see the Hulk and Thor matched up together in their strengths and skills when going at it in the film, I'd like to see it as evenly paired up as they did with Jet Li's and Jackie Chan's one and only fight sequence from "The Forbidden Kingdom".

In that scene, neither were shown being more superior than the other, and both of their characters gave as good as they took from the other character.

If they could do that with Thor and Hulk in this film, then that'd be the perfect way to avoid getting any backlash like the Hulk vs. Thor animated film did where the Hulk is portrayed as being vastly superior to Thor in every way.

Just for the record, I wouldn't want to see Thor vastly stronger than the Hulk. Both character imho deserve the respect in being portrayed as two powerful individuals without neither being labeled as the superior one in order to get them over.

Hulk is Stronger than Thor, and can reach unmeasurable amounts. Loki has more of a variety way to defeat Thor and therefore, imo, slightly more powerful than Thor. The thing is..., Thor is vastly more intelligent tactically, then Loki; and that's Loki's weakness....he's cunning in manipulating people; but, not as cunning in a fight...and easily succumb to his own jealous anger.

Actually Thor is more powerful than Loki and that's why Loki uses the manipulation of others to give Thor a hard time because in the comics he doesn't really stand a chance power wise.

I was thinking this as well, Hulk could probably play one of the biggest parts in defeating the Leviathan along with Iron Man's long range attacks.

I think it depends on how they portray the cube power-wise. We know he can open wormholes and project energy blasts with it inserted into his staff.

I can't wait to see Thor and Hulk fighting side by side, I've always thought they spent too much time fighting each other than fighting together.

The word from one of the other threads, is that in the latest movie expo footage, Hulk and Thor do indeed throwdown, and parts of the fight are in slo-mo. So it looks like we will be getting our Hulk vs Thor slugfest.
