The latest report is that in the next trailer, Thor and Hulk are shown striking eachother at the same time in slo mo. It sounds like Hulk gets a face full of Mjolnir, and Thor gets a Gamma powered right cross on the chin.

I think it would be freaking awesome to see that happen and each get knocked hard to the ground, like in a boxing match when fighters connect deadly temple or chin shots at the same time.

im not a comic-pro, so this hulk vs. thor stuff is new to me.

what i like to see is when another avenger is injured by a big monster or something and his suit is broken (ironman?), near to death ... the monster starts to do the last punch and right in this moment, a big green hand puts on the shoulder of the monster .... i think you can imagine what i mean :woot:

Or better yet, if both of them are sent flying backwards (possibly crashing into a large vehicle or building).

We just need something new hulk related, TV show or even the new avengers.

That too .... just something to convey the combustive nature of their two brute strengths clashing.

I wanna see some banner stuff, and definitely all the hulk action mentioned in the "possible description" leak.

I have this feeling they are going to shove the Hulk down our throats in this movie, even have him save the day which would piss me off. And I don't need to get started on what most likely is going to happen when Thor and Hulk go at it. By the way Ruffalo looks awful as Banner.

Well someone's a negative nelly.

I like the Hulk, it's not his fault Marvel has him trounce Thor in pretty much all of their fights outside of the comics.

Yeah I thought I was a pretty serious Thor fan, but Still A ThorFan puts me to shame.

Thor recently in the comic admitted he could not beat the Hulk and never could

I think everyone should probably take into account that hulk is 'the strongest', not second strongest. I think based on that, a hulk vs. thor battle seems like a no brainer. I mean why always say he is 'THE strongest' if he isn't. The battle would be awesome to watch for sure, but being stronger than 'every' other marvel character is kinda his whole thing

Yup. Let's face it, Thor's strong too, but he has more than just pure strength to back him up. Mjolnir, lightning, etc.
Hulk's pure strength and rage.
If they fight, just because hulk's stronger doesn't necessarily mean he'll win.
I don't know why all the debates always end up the same.
Guys.
Strength =/= victory
but let's face it, Hulk's stronger IMO. Granted, he may have to get angrier at first, but i think he'll always end up stronger.

also
Just because Thor's a god, doesn't make him absolutely powerful in the way we view gods. In the movieverse thor is pretty much an advanced alien thought to be a god by the norse people but putting it that way doesn't give his character justice. i'm about to rant. I love both of em but recycled arguments are getting old.

Way I see it is in the comics the Hulk is the stronger: Thor is usually presented as a little stronger than a calm Hulk, but once the Hulk gets his steam up he soon passes him. However, Thor can double his strength with his special belt, but afaik he has never used that against the Hulk (in theory as the Hulk gets angrier he could soon catch up and pass a boosted Thor as well).

And Hulk being the strongest is the way it should be for me, as strength is the Hulks only real power. That's one of the things that put me off reading Superman when I was kid (pre-crisis back then). He was pretty much a jack of all trades and master of all of them as well. I prefer to have that one guy who is the strongest, and another be the fastest, another the smartest, and so on.

Anyways, in the comics they usually have the Hulk coming out of the fights the better, but that's down to writers not having Thor using his other abilities (super speed for one), his belt, and all the various energy blasts the Hammer can generate. Thor using everything at his disposal could take the Hulk imo, but when they face off it is usually just written as a slugfest, which is obviously playing to the Hulks strengths.

For the movies we have not seen Thor really flexing his muscles without the Hammer so his inherent strength is still pretty much unknown. He is obviously gonna be very strong, but we have nothing to compare to the movie Hulk's feats. Personally I hope they don't sit on the fence and make it a bit vague as to who is the strongest. When they fight I want to see Thor genuinely stunned that a mortal can kick his @ss around.

But he's beaten him several times, in fact he beat him rather quickly right after he said that.

It's pretty much common knowledge that they both have quite a few victories of each other, so one line from a comic doesn't change what has happened in their previous battles.

Alot of people say that, but I think Hulk will be stunned as well seeing how he is FAR larger than Thor and he pretty much runs through his opponents as well.

If they are making him smarter this time round I agree. With the Hulk from TIH though, being a virtually mute brawler, it's harder to convey that.

Another good reason to (finally) give us a Hulk with a personality we actually know from the books (no live action effort so far has managed this curiously elusive feat).

They could just uses his facial expressions to show him being shocked, eben though I'm almost positive that Hulk's going to be more intelligent in this film

They used facial expressions for the last two flicks, which while funny, is kinda old hat to me at this point. In the Thor fight he can give a look like, "what the hell just happened?" but maybe respond with a slightly snarky comment right after like, "hmmm, not so puny after all."

No doubt it's time to go more of the A:EMH route with this movie for the Hulk. He is just so great in that series with his little quips and it's like he doesn't make complete sentences but everything he says makes complete sense; oh and he's funny as heck too.
