They'll surely re-cast them as well ...... and I'm sure other some other comments will follow about how forgettable they were, that train is never late.

Yep, that's one thing you can always count on.

I really want to see what marvel could do with a joss whedon/greg pak written script for tih2. and of course it'd have to be in capable directorial hands.

Same here, Greg Pak is one of the best Hulk writers there is and I'd love for him to pen the script for TIH 2.

yeah greg pak truly understands how to deliver the character.

who'd be a capable director? while I love TIH, I'd like for someone besides Leterrier to take the helm.

I'd love for someone like Peter Jackson to give the material a crack, though realistically I doubt that would happen :csad:

I'm sure they'd be great, I just get the feeling they wouldn't take the job....

Del Toro is interesting, but I wouldn't want his odd stylized prosthetics or slow fight scenes.

Del Toro is a pretty good suggestion
He clearly loves the character and has some form of relationship with Marvel, hopefully they could reign in his animatronic fetish a bit.

Actually I was wondering if Andrew Stanton would be a good fit? I know John Carter tanked at the Box Office but the film itself was pretty good and had a certain Planet Hulk vibe.

Good point

I love the cast of TIH, I just really don't think Letrrier will ever be a worthwhile director. I don't want him doing another Hulk film (and I doubt he will).

William Hurt is a great actor, but unfortunately the TIH version of Ross was nothing more than a 2 dimensional villain. At least compared to the Sam Elliot version, who seemed to be a man who constantly struggled with his hatred for Banner and his love for Betty.

Exactly. There is no questioning Hurt's talent, but his Ross was just a one dimensional cliche of an ******* military general. He didn't give a **** about his daughter until she nearly got killed because of his foolhardy and reckless attitude.

At least with Elliot's Ross you got the sense he really was torn between stopping Hulk and the love of his daughter.

And Greg Pak has done some great work with the Hulk. But he's done some bad stuff. Like that whole idea of Hulk subconsciously making calculations on his rampages that allow him to destroy buildings without putting anyone in harms way, which is just absurdly contrived, even for comics. And World War Hulk was full of stupid PIS, making Hulk a borderline Mary Sue/Gary Stu in the process. Took the drama and suspense out of the event because you always knew Hulk was going to win, even in fights against Dr Strange and Sentry, who i'm not being funny, are way out of Hulk's league.

I actually really liked the Hulk/Sentry dialogue
"Savior.Destroyer. They can call you whatever they want. All that matters is what you Choose."
But yeah he peaked with Planet Hulk.

Planet Hulk was indeed awesome. WWH is extremely overrated imo even though it does have some great moments. It's a Hulk fanboys dream come true though, seeing him annihilate anyone who crosses his path.

The best thing to come from World War Hulk was Skaar and his resulting series. Gamma powered Conan for the win.

Planet Hulk >>>> World War Hulk

At it's core all World War Hulk did was make Hulk look even more awesome by beating the **** out of almost every Marvel superhero in the same event.

Well, yea, it was basically fan fiction. It did have some amazing set pieces though and i did like the characterisation of Hulk.

Definately, Green Scar Hulk is my favorite version of Hulk ever but I just thought the whole World War Hulk event tried too hard.

I mean honestly, as big of a Thor fan as I am I would never want to see an event where he just beats up almost every hero on earth.
