This looks to be the first cinematic Hulk that puts the "Incredible" in TIH for me. That shot of him transforming is stunning (especially in that slowed down gif form).

Exactly. There is no questioning Hurt's talent, but his Ross was just a one dimensional cliche of an ******* military general. He didn't give a **** about his daughter until she nearly got killed because of his foolhardy and reckless attitude.

Or just because a general and the soldiers seem to be totaly lousy and unable to take care of a girl.

At the campus, they're supposed to keep Betty safe. But somehow she escapes twice, the second time right when a helicopter is shooting (and then turns into a fireball). Then at the end, they just let her go directly to Bruce when he's about to jump (for whatever the reason he thought that was safer than landing and check if he could still tuyrn into Hulk) when the door of the helicopter was dangerously open.

Definately, Green Scar Hulk is my favorite version of Hulk ever but I just thought the whole World War Hulk event tried too hard.

I mean honestly, as big of a Thor fan as I am I would never want to see an event where he just beats up almost every hero on earth.

Yeah but half of all Hulk fans are half-mad and the other half are worse :woot:

Yep, Greg Pak is the Walt Simson or JMS of Hulk writers.

Your making me want to Hulk out and smash. Comparing Pak to Simonson? Ugh. They aren't in the same solar system. One guy expands the mythos in ways future writers look to as an example, the other guy invents magic perfect subconscious precognition so he can turn Frankenstein's monster into Jesus.

Peter David is the Simonson of the Hulk mythos if I ever saw one.

Bill Mantlo set the foundations for Peter David to build on. His contribution gets a little too easily forgotten.

At least with Elliot's Ross you got the sense he really was torn between stopping Hulk and the love of his daughter.

What you call one-dimensional is what I call being "in too deep and can't go back" ..... I liked that character arc for General Ross.

I find it strange how overly complex fans want every single character to be.

As far as Sam Elliot is concerned, they could make the next Ambien out of his ashes when he's long gone. Dude puts me to sleep.

So slashfilm's set report has a quote fom Ruffalo saying he'll be voicing the Hulk's lines. While it's part of the actor taking a bigger part of the Hulk role, along with doing the mocapping and such, I am kind of bummed out to hear Lou Ferrigno won't be voicing the Hulk this time around now that he has a few more lines.

Read it again, he did a temp voice over until they hired someone, which was likely Ferrigno.

Although I really wish they'd use someone else.

It sounds like he's the same Hulk Smash version as well.

Just read an interview with Ruffalo, Whedon and Feige on the unmentionable site and didn't like some of the stuff they mentioned, for example Hulk and Banner being one in the same. To me they're not, they're two seperate personalities who share the same mind and body, sort of.

Sam Elliot puts you to sleep? You kidding me? He's got one of the most awesome voices ever. Second only to Michael Wincott. You never seen Big Lebowski? Tombstone? Road House?

I understand that not all characters have to be overly complex, but he was a main character, the main villain really. I thought it was a great performance by him, but i think the way he was written was just... out of character.

Yup, seen'em all ..... I'm not going to deny that he has one of the more distinct voices in acting, but he's just so lethargic. There's no energy to his presence. He was practically sleep fighting in Roadhouse.

I'd like to see the next hulk movie not rely on military presence and if it did, I'd rather see them aid hulk more.

Hulk looks great!!! I also like how he has much more muscle definition here than what he appears to have in the other scenes. But to me, the above gif just solidifies how iconic and awesome it would be if his SHIRT color was actually his PANTS color. And--before the sound of a thousand keyboard strokes deafens the place--yes, I know that it is much more realistic to have a man change into a green monster than to believe he wears purple pants. :whatever:
Still, I like my heroes classic.

I was interested in what route they'd take with the transformation, if he'd grow then turn green or turn green then grow, looking like they went with just doing both at the same time.

So now it's basically been comfirmed by Mark Ruffalo that
Hulk is gonna fight Thor
from what we've seen of Hulk so far, it's definitely going to be epic

^ Hopefully it's not gonna be "one sided".

I think Pak is the man, but I'd rather have anyone doing it than the man at the helm of Hulk right now. Jason Aaron is effing horrible, imho

I liked William Hurt better than Elliott though I thought Elliott was solid nonetheless. Just a point of personal preference I suppose. I'd be happy with either of them in the role again.

If you saw The Private War of Dr. Doom yesterday from EMH, the constant rivalry between Hulk and Thing is exactly how he should be in regards to any future Avenger flicks with Thor.

I like your way of thinking.

I loved it when the one card fell out of Hulk's hand and he leaped over the table to tackle Thing. Classic
