On Larry King live Jane Sarkin Editor of Vanity Fair said Katie loves being a mom and her career when ask by Larry what's up with her movie career.
Many scripts are being offered to her and she's been reading some already. Larry said if Tom wants her to quit and Jane said no because they both love their work. Tom encourages her to pick projects that she only loves. Jane added that we will hear soon what projects she will do.
And that *many people* are looking forward to her movie comeback.

Am I supposed to care what some editor of a magazine thinks about how many fans Holmes has?

First of all, I personally don't mind Katie Holmes...but it would be great, since we will likely never see Barbara Gordon or Batgirl if Joker did to Rachel what he did to Barbara in The Killing Joke.

Think about it, Batman can save Rachel...Joker can witness it and he abducts her, tortures her until she reveal's Bruce's true identity (because it seems like a trade mark of comic films that the villian has to find out by the end), takes pictures of her being tortured (and even killed) and leaves them right on Bruce's door step.

First of all, I personally don't mind Katie Holmes...

Neither do it, but I cant see "many batfans" all of a sudden being fans of hers.
I want her back for continuity sake but I could care less about the Dawes character unless Dawes is still needed to drive Bruce.

Joker doesnt want to know batmans true identity.
And I really hope they keep that in Jokers character because I think it is one of the most defining aspects of his character.

And just to clarify here is something I posted in a different thread.
Dawes played a crucial part of Bruces development into Batman. She was his moral compass and is ultimately the one that explained to him the difference between a criminal and a hero.
That being said, I can only appreciate her character within Nolans story because of the time limits he was facing. Had there been no limit I think she would never have been created. We would have seen his deliberation played out instead of being metaphorically characterized as Dawes.

sorry guys its a batman movie. a superhero movie. there HAS to be some sort of damsel in distress that needs saving. its one of the thigns w.b. said had to be in the movie. so until there are rumors of other actresses joining the film

1. take it to the bank holmes will be back. no way will they make a movie high profile with ZERO females in it
2. shell be the love interest...again. that or she'll need saving.

Right on Excel and the Joker should never know Batman's identity. No way in hell I want that. Speaking of Holmes fans my Socom Navy Seals clan about 37 of us loves Rachel/Katie. Our clan is called RTW/Rule the World and we actually downsized from our original 73 numbers because some guys get in trouble with their wives and gf's when it comes to videogames. We have about 4 Aussies and 2 Canadians onboard.
News today also showed Katie,Tom and the kids visiting Six Flags park since Tom is now partnered with Dan Synder and CEO Mark Shapiro.
She rode the Batman rides,Riddler and Joker's spin; once again our Katie is stuck with Batman.
She will be visiting this park more often to support her future husband's business.

i don't think she should be killed until robin comes in. I think this is how it should be done. She becomes DA after dent becomes two face. Robin comes years after this. Two face escapes in liek the 5 movie. Only a minor role. Batman is knocked out and he kidnaps Rachael and hangs her. Robin comes ot her aide. Like in the comics. Robin has dent flip a coin on to whether to hang rachael. He wins the flip. So two face drowns her instead. And robin is unable to save her because two face comes at him and beats him near to a pulp until bats comes and save him but not rachel. This could have the split up (but not in a gay way) batman tells him he can't be robin anymore. Robin feels that its because batman blames him for rachael's death. but really he just wangts to keep robin safe. wHat do you think?

Man now Im sad. I have memories of my cousins and officemates over the Pacey vs Dawson war who's getting Joey, I did watch Roswell and the first 2 seasons of Smallville, Batman Beyond and other Superman cartoons.

Its good WB is ending this way reliving their glory days.

Its true Katie fans are just lurking but we do exist. Major kudos to Nolan,Goyer and Katie for gracing us Rachel Dawes. As a woman I really look up to her. Talia and Selina are indeedly from the comics but I cant positively identify with them.

Im watching theWB sendoff for Katie. Many critics did tease Katie if Rachel Dawes is the grown up Joey Potter and they asked since Rachel was changed from Dodson to Dawes if its taken after Dawson?
